BECOME A COACH - EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING

Equine Assisted Learning is a growing industry. Horses have an amazing capacity to bring about change in the people they encounter. Recent federal funding for Equine Therapy for PTSD shows the ever growing recognition of horses in the healing process. People with autism, cancer survivors, at-risk youth, and Aboriginal groups have all seen changes when interacting with horses.

NOW is your opportunity to become part of this growing field.

HIGHER TRAILS EQUINE Ltd. is offering their EQUINE ASSISTED PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT (EAPD) COACH Course September 16, 17, 18, 19, 2015 at their home ranch near Black Diamond, AB.

This four day course teaches how to Coach others to overcome obstacles and move forward in life. With the horse as a partner, you help clients discover what is holding them back and develop strategies and plans to bring about change. Facilitators are Ross and Dee MacInnes who have worked with horses in an EAL capacity since 2002. With over 100 EAPD Coaches across Canada, they continue to share their knowledge with those who have a passion for horses and people.

To learn more, check out the website www.highertrails.ca or call 403-874-6284.

Class sizes are limited to allow maximum interaction with the horses.

Exercises are both on the ground and mounted.

Must be over 18 to participate.

SIERRA STABLES

We are a brand new semi private facility that is just fully opening as of July, we are a multidiscipline and absolutely a NO DRAMA tolerated, friendly, low key place to board and enjoy your horses at!!!!

We are located just 20 minutes east of Calgary down 16th avenue, close to Langdon, Lyalta, Strathmore, Chestermere.

We offer:
Paddock(2 per pen)or Pasture at $250.00
Stall (10x10)with private turnout $500.00

Each Paddock has a shelter/ auto waterers/no barb wire and holds 2 horses to a Paddock and they are either a 80x80 or 100x100 in size.

Each Pasture area is done in barb wire with auto waterers and is only a small group of either mares or geldings we do not mix them together!

Each boarder is provided 1 locked tack locker and a spot in the feed room to store grains for your horse. Trailer storage is also available.

We have a 160 x 80 sand indoor arena. 76x30 heated barn with tack room/feed room and wash bay. An attached heated viewing/washroom area.
Outdoor arena 200 x100 and sand round pen to come this summer as well!

Horses are fed hay 2 to 4 times a day depending on the requirements of the horses. As not all horses are the same and may need to eat differently... they can also be fed grains that are provided by the owner.

We are only taking in a limited number of people as we do not want to be crowded or to busy for people to enjoy the arena!!!

We believe in a small number of horses to care for so that each and everyone of them can be looked after and checked over daily not just fed and watered.

We have a great farrier and vet that we use but you can also use your own. We also know of some good trainers for you or your horse, but are welcome to your own.

We feed a good quality hay in both round and square bales, but as we know people can be very particular we also would offer that if a person wants to provide there own hay, that we will feed it for them and the board price can be adjusted. There will be a minimal Hay surcharge for the winter!!!
