In 2008, we opened Willowdale Equine Centre and began boarding, training and giving lessons. We have prided ourselves on the happiness and health of our horses, and the ability of our instructors to offer the very best nurturing and guidance available in the community.
Willowdale’s facilities are “State of the Art”.
A 12’-wide riding track completely encloses the 160 acres allowing athletes to endurance train their horses.
Our indoor riding arena is one of the nicest venues in the area measuring 80 by 200 feet. It is raked daily and watered automatically by our computer controlled disbursement system. It is resurfaced on a regular basis to maintain the good quality footing. One regulation outdoor arena and a fenced regulation small dressage arena with sand footing provide the perfect opportunity for riding outdoors.
The barn is wood constructed with 28 - 10' x10' stalls. Each stall stall has a window to provide natural sunlight as well as a self regulated watering system. The arena is equipped with a fresh air exchange system to provide fresh clean air to the arena and stable as needed during all seasons. Turn out is available to all horses depending on their needs. For those horses that cannot be turned out with other horses whether a stallion or a horse that doesn’t play well with others we provide individual outdoor stalls. All turn outs are constructed of high quality range panel materials for the horse’s safety. Horses are given enough turn out to provide them with a happy, healthy lifestyle, dependent on each horse's individual mental and physical needs. Horses are provided hay twice daily to promote their grazing needs, grain is provided on a requested basis, and special needs horses are arranged individually and special supplements are fed when arranged with the owner.
