- I do love Dr. Charles Briggs for lameness issues. He has such an amazing eye!

- Dr Charles Briggs from Sherwood Park. if it wasn't for him my horse wouldn't be running barrels.. we were told put him down but we stuck with it and hes now running barrels again.. he is also a lameness specialist
- Charles Briggs from Sherwood Park is also unreal!! Trust him completely with any of my horses!!

  1. - Used Dr Briggs to float my horses this year, he was excellent and competent. He sedated my horses thoroughly, rather than trying to work with as little sedation as possible, and as a result I feel he did a better job. Is outspoken and blunt, but extremely good at his job, and I was impressed with his work.

  2. Dr. Charles Briggs is a true professional, and really cares about the horses, and doesn't 'waste' your money. This guy can tell more by watching your horse move, and doing flexions than most veterinarians can do with a bunch of expensive tests. Most importantly, he knows how to fix it!

  3. Three years ago I almost lost my top mare due to a horrific accident. Several surgeries and treatments with other veterinary clinics were ineffective, depleted my bank account and left her with painful, gaping wounds that wouldn't heal. Desperate for a solution, trying various treatments reccommended by experts in the horse industry, another horse owner reccommended Dr. Charles Briggs at BECKWITH VETERINARY CLINIC. Having limited resources and income, I was skeptical he would assist me. But he was amazing. Dr. Briggs treated me with respect and took my concerns for my mare's health and welfare seriously. He provided me with several treatment options and solid advice to manage pain, heal the wounds and rehabilitate my mare AND within my budget too! I am happy to say that my mare has recovered and her wounds and surgical scars are not only healed, but virtually invisible! I owe everything to DR. CHARLES BRIGGS and strongly reccommend him and his veterinary services at BECKWITH VETERINARY CLINIC to anyone and everyone in the horse industry - be it the big name breeders, serious competitors or small-time leisure, backyard horse owners.

  4. Dr. Briggs gelded my sons gelding a few years ago, as other vets wouldn't touch him, as he was crept. He also did his back teeth. He took my son who was 14 at the time in the stall with him, and explained what he was going to do, and told my son he was going to stay in the stall. My son loves his horse, and was very happy to be allowed to be in with his horse. We told Dr. Briggs that it was Cam's first horse, and told him that he had his pick from about 20 to choose from. Cris (the horse) was just two at the time, and Dr. Briggs in the short time with Cris, told Cam that he didn't know what Cam passed up for horses, but he believed that Cam picked the best. Today Cam still remembers that day, and still has Cris (who's now 8). I have not needed a vet for my three (knock on wood), but when or if I do it will be Dr. Briggs. I will trailer the 3 hours to get to his place. When my mare had scratches, and the local vet prescribed a topical DOG cream, and a surgical wash for 80. dollars..needles to say that didn't work. I called Dr. Briggs..he told me to stop washing it (as it is caused by water), and use an over the counter cream that I can buy in most stores. Today a friend from the U.S. sent me pictures of her horses that took a bad spill into barb wire when a car went speeding past them, and I gave her Dr. Briggs number. She needs his lotion, a.s.a.p. I will forever tell people to use him..He made us feel like we really mattered. And his expertise is unsurpassable. Shelley L. Craig

  5. I love and trust Dr Briggs as my horse vet. I NEVER FEEL like I am getting gouged by him. I feel his pricing is fair and reasonable. His manner is funny yet professional. He teaches me what he is doing as he does it. I refer so many people to him. His healing oil lotion is amazing, and he really knows his stuff. So grateful to have this vet for my horses!!!!!
