  4. Childish owner, very unprofessional, when she doesn't get her way she makes threats. Worst 2 months of my horses life, after he left I was left with a $2500 vet bill due to neglect of care.

  5. Extremely unprofessional! I would avoid doing business with this barn AT ALL COSTS! Horse has been permanently crippled due to carelessness of facility.

    2. This thread was brought to my attention this morning, and I can assure you that I am not the same person writing day after day because I do not have the time or care to do that. BUT I will say that ALL of the previous comments are 100% truth, It is a matter of time before this owner up and moves just like what happened in the past. I would never board my pet rock here let alone a living animal.

  9. I wish she would run her barn like a business and treat everyone with respect, but she doesn't. Such a high turnover I don't think anyone stays there for very long.

  10. Very knowledgable barn owner who treats the horses and clients very well. Down to earth people who are not in the business just for the money. The horses come first and they are very approachable and fair to deal with. Very happy with this barn and the barn owners. Highly recommend. They get that they are being paid to provide a service and they do it very well without the ego and attitude.

    2. knowledgeable? on drugging horses, spending money from her Aunty Gwen? She's running out of family that is still alive that she can con. Along with men . Lets face it she hasn't held a job in over 8 years. So, where does this high roller life style come from? Definitely isn't because this new husband has money. I think we all know Alec is just buying his time to get his Canadian citizenship.

  11. I have personally known this woman when she resided in Saskatchewan and she is not a nice person. She is extremely uncouth, entitled, and a narcissist. Notorious, yes. But it sure is not because she is fair and rational .The owner is hostile and unpleasant. This was my experience with her in Saskatchewan.

  12. I previously boarded at this facility approximately 2 years until i became "competition" to the barn owner in regards to advice on riding/horse health. barn owner then proceeded to slander my name and disrespect me out in the open in front of other boarders. she refused to monitor my horses' health on a daily basis and would provide excessive amount of feed to avoid frequent contact. horses that are in "private" pens will be supplemented with green feed where horses in group pens will be fed mainly green feed and next to no hay. multiple horses on this property have suffered from frequent colic. she has offered to pay off farriers not to trim horses of boarders she didnt like. family and "staff" act rude to reflect the personal feelings of the owner. rules are not formally written on a document, but all over the facility on handwritten signs that can change at any time depending on owners mood. rules are only applicable to whom she see's fit. all i can recommend to the public is to avoid this barn/owner/staff at all costs. i have witnessed a great amount of turnover. i have also witnessed multiple inappropriate/unprofessional actions between barn owner and boarders. run away.

  13. I agree with all of the previous statements about this "facility". The owner of the barn is very manipulative, lies, and treats her boarders terrible. I was one of her "friends" until everything became a competition. Once you are on the "outs" with this lady you are pretty much banished from the property. The rules change every day and they are different for every person. I have witnessed many bad deals, sick horses and very unprofessional business standards. There is a very high turnover of boarders there, the ones that are still there are still being lied too and manipulated. This ad is also incorrect in saying that the indoor arena is "large". It is a very toxic environment that has not changed over the past three years. Everyone is to blame except the barn owner. I do not know who Callie and Lacey are but I have seen many of her "minions" who are now not friends with her leave and come back to apologize to people they were rude to on her behalf. There is a reason she has such a high turnover at this barn.

  14. I agree with all the previous comments they are all very true. (not the two positive comments) Sadly, there is nothing good that can be said about the owner and this facility. She runs her business based on her emotions whether or not she is having a good day or bad day. Her family and staff do reflect the personal feelings of the barn owner. On many occasions she spouted off about boarders. The boarders are not doing her a favour by boarding at her facility. Its hard to know what your what your riding experience will be that day and whether or not she's in a good mood or bad mood. The barn is small so you have to deal with everything in close proximity. The rules for everyone change on a whim. Her hand written signs make you feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. She does not allow you to use the lights during the day. She chased her certified trainers out because of her erratic behavior and thus there are no "real" trainers at this barn.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I have had numerous run in's with the barn owner both before and after boarding at her facility. There is NO length of what she will go to in a chance to "get back" at a person. The high turnover rate at this facility is mind blowing, the "staff aka friend of the week" also treat you like crap, the rules are different for every person, I have seen numerous "friends" become vicious enemies in a short period of time, as well as sick and hurt horses. DO NOT fall victim to the crap that happens at this barn, do your research and ask around.

  16. Very interesting reading all the above comments! I have been involved in the horse industry for over 30 years and and have seen my fair share of drama and Barn politics. But what is being said here is totally untrue and uncalled for. The owner of this facility has a very difficult job putting up with immature and jealous nature of many young women who have boarded here (many making the horrible comments above). Running a facility is not an easy task with many difficult personalities and levels of knowledge and responsibly.

The owner of this facility has been a been a very successful horse owner, competititor, instructor and equine advocate for many many years. She has a practical wealth of knowledge and experience many would be pleased to learn!! She truly do love each and every horse on her property and always ensures the best care possible. The facility is efficient, clean, and well cared for. The feed is excellent and plentiful (fat & happy ponies)! Not only is this a boarding facility but Her home! I have been blessed to have my horse here and would trust her completely in the care of this owner! I am able to travel quite a bit and know that my mare will be sound, happy and loved while I am away 100% of the time. The facility is laid back, accepting of all disciplines, and a fantastic environment to hone your craft, and be proud while working hard to achieve your goals!!!! This owner has a huge heart and believes the best in everyone, and those people (you know who you are) know how to take advantage of that. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the best facilities out there!!

With that being said, I must address the issue of the hurtful and childish comments being said here. I have seen first hand the actions of some of the boarders at this facility and the lack of respect for the owner is unacceptable. With every situation there are personality conflicts to deal with, but many have unrealistic expectations and no responsibilities when looking after their own animals. As a horse owner, it is expected that you monitor your own horses wellbeing with the assistance of the boarding owner!! If you aren't willing to make the effort, what is the point in owning a horse? A boarding agreement clearly outlined what is expected by both parties and should be followed and accepted once signed. If you are concerned about your horse's health, it is the horse owner's responsibility to contact a vet for examination.

Again, truly sad and disappointing to see such slander on this forum. Yes, do your homework when you choose a facility. Do not listen to the vengeful and jealousy of this boarders who just didn't get along with others for their own Immaturity. Just because you can't get along win other people, a boarding facility is first and foremost for the wellbeing of the horse!!!

    3. Very true the only "barn drama" has been caused by a few young girls. Cartel creek is now drama free. So STOP all the rude and hateful comments girls!!

      Delete
    4. It will become "drama free" when she sucks up this boyfriends money, spends all her parents money and tries to sue everyone in the country and finally moves provinces like she always does. I will pay to see the day there is no drama with this "woman" maybe after she stops sending previous borders threatening messages, vandalizing their property and sitting on the road waiting for them to come home. There is more to this "woman" than anyone realizes.

    6. I originally wrote this review to defend Traci but, unfortunately after years of watching her go through people I'm going to change my review. I have been involved in all aspects of rodeo and at the time I wrote this review i thought she was difficult to deal with because she had no income other than her parents. I was hoping some positive reviews would help turn this place around but, Traci seems to like to keep burning bridges. It is true as stated above she is good until you disagree or question her. This was the case with me and in fact had to go with another family to get my trailer from her yard only to find it damaged. It a shame she hasn't learned. i am saddened to hear that her mom passed away as her parents were nice people. I have no doubt she will drain her Aunty Gwen now as she still doesn't have a job and neither does her husband from Ireland..

  18. Where do I begin...
If your looking for a completely unprofessional, hostile environment to keep your horse or to take "lessons" this is your place.
The women who runs this "ranch" is a money hungry snob who thinks the world owes her something, even though mommy n daddy have handed her everything.
Cartels top knotch lesson horses come straight from the Thorsby auction, or are given to her in good faith by people who want a good home for their older broke horses (20+ year olds). Or sorry I forgot the horses she was given for free for her lesson program she has flipped and sold either at auction or to inexperienced horse people at her farm.
She breaks leases almost monthly. You could pay a lease on a horse for a month and show up the next day and it's gone.
She also uses boarders horses for lessons without consent from the owner of the horse.
I have seen first hand the terrible cheap dusty mouldy hay that she feeds out. And might i add she over feeds so she can go back into her house and hide from any real responsibility. I have also seen first hand her inability to handle a medical emergency with a horse. She'd rather listen to her magical rocks then an actual vet.
Even her own horse who has ring bone is used to pound out barrels because the need to win is much more important then the long term health of her horse.
This women has bullied teenagers to the point of tears, spread lies and throws everyone else under the bus because she refuses to be accountable for her own actions.
Everyone one of her boarders she has a rude pet name for! From the lazy broke fat family, drunks or bull dyke. There is no end.
There is a reason why people flea this place. Some even show up with the cops. Or bikers as reinforcement.
Her manic mood swings leave you scared for your horses well being and your own reputation. It's a small county with not a lot of facilities like this around...I think it speaks for itself that the paddocks aren't bouncing with horses.
So I warn all of you stay clear of this ranch so you aren't left with a fowl taste in your mouth or ur name bashed at her kitchen table.
Professionalism is left at the gate here.

    1. Also the coaches teaching lessons aren't even certified.
Numerous kids have been bucked off or have been scared by her lesson horses.
She also has a large problem providing tack for her lease horses. And has been known for its taking tack from boarders, some of those items missing had come from kids.

  21. I would not recommend this barn to anyone that cares about the well being of their horse or their sanity. The facility is old and wore down it doesn't appear that they have put any money into the place for upkeep or upgrades at all. All of the fences are hanging by a wire or are held up by one board. The hay is less than what I would call quality hay I noticed that her own horses get the best bales and the boarders horses get slew grass Hay with maybe some " Greenfeed " aka Poor quality oat straw, but yet we heard daily how expensive the hay is for the year and that she was having to increase rent to pay for the good quality hay . Lots of horses have been known to colic at this stable my guess would be the feed. There is not enough room in the shelters for all the horses in the group pens so lots get to stand out in the elements. And some private pens that you pay $400 a month don't even have a shelter. The " lessons" that are given at this facility are by uncertified coaches, Not to mention the horses used for lessons are in no way I would consider safe lesson horses I believe they are acquired via auction Mart and I wouldn't put my dog on one let alone my small child! The stables atmosphere is extremely unprofessional and Uninviting you will hear the owner complain about boarders all the time and how she wants to shut the place down In front of other boarders or people taking lessons.
I found this stable Uninviting and not worth the money they ask for the facilities you get. Shop around and don't be fooled.

    1. My friend and I recently attended a clinic there. The facility is NOT at all what you are describing in your post. Cartel was neatly kept. Boarders seem to respect facility and sweep and clean up after themselves. I am shocked at how much space the horses in the private pen get but our four legged friends need this. The ground and arena were well groomed!!!!! Thanks for your hospitality and wonderful facility!!! We will definitely be back for future clinics.

  22. I have to admit that the owner does not think of safety at all. Not at all, she thinks every horse is safe and that children/ new riders/ inexperienced riders should jump on any horse. My child test rode a horse that she said was "safe" and my child got bucked really hard. She then told my child and another kid to double on a horse that started bucking. I think she is overwhelmed, too much for her.

  23. Wow after reading these comments I am very glad that I am not the only person that this happened to. When I first started keeping my horse(s) here I was very happy, it was a pleasant and fun environment, everyone was very casual and seemed professional. It seemed like within an instant this changed. The year I kept my horse(s) out there I witnessed more than a few alarming situations. The owner and her "best friend" were a lot of fun and willing to help, I soon started to notice that the "best friend" was a threat to the owner in some form (I do not know the details of what happened but I do know that the friend lost her horse to colic while she was there" the owners attitude became very concerning and manipulative towards her "friend" we were all instructed to no longer talk to this person and that she would soon be "kicked out", in the meantime there was another issue with another "best friend she was kicking out" the owner put pad locks around gates where her horses were kept and locked up her equipment so she could not get to it. There were also numerous other cases of colic that year which seemed alarming, and a few other issues where horses perished (granted one of them was avoidable) We were able to leave the barn in piece (because we moved towns) but while we were there it was scary how many people went through that facility, how many were "kicked out" and how people were treated. We were always treated what I would call fair but most others were not. My gut feeling told us to leave and I can honestly say that I am so glad that I did.

  24. I would avoid boarding here at all costs..... You will get sucked into her vortex of her dramatic "poor me" I have no friends life that she creates herself by being malicious and extremely unbalanced.....The owner is manipulative, childish and will do anything including screw her " only friends" over for money this includes horse flipping like getting cheap and or FREE horses from people and turning around and selling them at auctions as " kids horses" ( even though they buck or rear ) or buying cheap auction horses and selling them for triple the money to " friends" or clients a week or less later. Or selling people horses with such great breeding " but oh they are grade as the paperwork never got done"
She is a master at manipulating people and lying ( even about her age sadly enough) .
Her family helps run the place and they will often meddle In the middle of all her " issues of the month " and will help her treat you like crap if she doesn't like you that week" don't get caught talking to another ex boarder or person she hates for the month! or she will hate you too and either kick you out or make your life hell there that you leave running! Just for " betraying her" sadly this is her high school mentality . The Horses get fed poor quality hay and " Greenfeed" that looks more like poor quality oat straw. The place is wore out and needs major repairs that probably will never get done...The place sadly speaks for itself a once busy barn is now a deserted "has been" place, who has allot of ex boarders who you couldn't pay to go back there! I know allot of people who were " kicked out " and or left running for the hills on their own..." Usually 1/3 boarders leaving get the cops called on them while they are trying to leave". I wouldn't recommend wasting your money boarding go somewhere ...less dramatic!!

  30. And so it seems it never ends. From one town to the next, this is the most unprofessional woman I have ever dealt with in my entire life, I don't for one second think that anything said on here is not true. she is a terrible person, who lies, cheats and manipulates every single person that she comes into contact with. In sask it was the same thing with Donald she used this mentally unstable man for his money and when he ran out of it she took off, she moved to alberta and did the same thing with the numerous other men she swindles into her life. Her property is run down, the barn stalls are full of mold, if you are the friend of the week you are taken care of if not then she doesn't care about you. There have been numerous horses that did not make it off of this property so the above comment that its inevitable is crap, I don't know any other boarding facility who has lost as many animals as this woman has. DO NOT BOARD here, do not get into contact with this woman and do not waste your time. P.s I know for a fact that nobody has boarded their horses here or purchased a 1D horse of this woman in the past two years. Jackpot results don't lie, but she sure does.

  31. I have personally had to deal with this Vile woman for the past 3 years at Rodeos & Jackpots. Sitting in the stands behind her listening to what she says about people and how she is going to "get them back" I have witnessed numerous occasions where she kicked her friends off of her property, locked... yes pad locked their horses up, locked up all of their equipment and used it for herself. IF you board there now I would highly suggest that you get a contract in writing and make sure to have a witness there to sign it at well, and make sure you get a copy of this, as well as all of your boarding receipts and anything else that you give this person money for. You will get taken advantage of, your name will be slandered by her and her new group of minions for the month, you will be followed if you live within an hour of her place, she will send you vile and disgusting text messages calling you fat, ugly and how you cant ride, her man of the week will also follow you and engage in her mental activities, oh and don't forget her neighbour. She will borrow peoples phones and harass you, she will screen shot only what you send her and try and sue you for slander, threaten to sue you for anything in that matter. There is a reason that cartel creek has such a high turnover rate with not only people but horses as well. Do your research, if you do not believe what is written here then ask around, I wish I would have done the same... the straight jacket doesn't fall too far from the meds.

The boarding facility is thriving with intelligent, mature, fun loving people and all of the drama queens, trouble makers and jealous types have left, thank goodness! The horses are well looked after and loved. The facility is clean and tidy and a joy to be around all those currently boarding there. She's always working hard to keep the barn, arena and corrals in top condition and treats all the horses as if they were her own. Only the best feed for them! I use to board there for about 2 years, I witnessed her putting pad locks on the pens oh certain owners horses when they "owed her money", let other boarders use saddles and equipment that belongs to other boarders without permission, there were "tail" cameras apparently set up by her loser ex (don't ask which one as that is a revolving door) but they were set up by her so she could spy on everything that goes on there, oh and lets not forget the number of horses that had "colic". A tiger doesn't change its spots lol you can stick up for her all you want but once you get into an argument watch out... I also think its funny that the only people that will haul with her are under the age of 14..... insert eye roll here. Beware if you go here and be smart not too~

  39. So Heidi what is your opinion of this crazy "woman" now. Is it acceptable to bully a young kid, lock up her belongings, leave the horses blanket on but undo the straps, barricade the road so they cant get in..... Jesus Christ when will you people learn that Traci Beckman is toxic, has no morals and is mentally ill. I hope she likes jail because that is exactly where she is headed soon. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this vile & dangerous excuse for a person.

  40. I boarded here in 2013. Everything seemed to be okay, horse had hay and shelter. I always paid my board and was very respectful in the barn. Then one day I went to ride and she said there was a possibility of strangles and that we see under quarantine, but to continue going about my usual routine so I did. That was the only time it had been brought up and later was said to be a false alarm. I worked with a boarders sister who said her horse did in fact test positive for strangles.

I was leaving for 2 weeks and had asked if my horse could be rode ( I would pay extra) while I was gone to keep him in shape before I pulled him to go to a rodeo. Upon my dad showing up and examining my horse he had found a lump which she denied she knew anything about and still allowed the horse to leave the property. He did test positive for strangles and she once again denied that it came from her barn, and that a simple flu was the only thing going around, however my horse had never left her property in the 4 months he was there. Because of all the trouble with the strangles I told her I would not be paying her the 'rides she put on my horse' while I was gone and she was livid saying that was how she made her income and such.

Well sorry but being an honest barn owner is going to get you a lot further than being a manipulative person who denies everything that comes at them.

    1. I was also boarding at the facility during this time. I still have the text messages to prove that there was a strangles outbreak and I was told to keep my mouth shut and say it was a cold...

  41. It is unbelievable how a bunch of bitchy women can get their nose out of joint. There is a lot of the same people posting their fucking garbage on this site. For those of you that want to continually beat up on Traci, I say to all of you FUCK OFF! You have spoke your peace, now go find someone else to harass. Traci is an amazing person that puts horses first. She is a wonderful caretaker of all animals and extremely smart horse person. Those horses are treated extremely well. Here's an idea for all of you.....move on! Spend more time figuring out which end of the horse to feed, and less time being the horses ass! I will always support Traci, she has proven time and time again to be a caring and responsible caretaker, person and friend.

    1. What is even more unbelievable is that you think writing here as your ex (who you tried to run dry of money) would make everyone think that you were a stand up person. Everyone knows that he knows nothing about horses so really the points are invalid. I guess putting pad locks on the gates of the ones who piss you off is responsible. Anyone can go to an event and see how many people avoid talking to you, but poor traci everyone is just against her. RIGHT!

  42. I was able to lease a horse from someone boarding here, everything started off great but apparently the horse owner and barn owner had a disagreement regarding care/health. The barn owner took away the saddle she allowed me to use, without saying anything and had completely taken her issues with the horse owner out on me and my 3 year of child.
It's too bad she had such a nasty attitude because she seems very knowledgeable.

  43. Wow. I try to think how where in a persons life that they could get so jaded and manipulative. I can only think that for her it would have been at the beginning, being around horses and of course.. rodeos

Where a young lady can get lots of attention from men and see that she can have a lot of power over them.( just certain ones) the feeling that with just those certain smiles... flirty glances etc will get you anything you ask for. And then throw in entitlement... rudeness manipulation and it can all be all for not. Which I am reading now in the above posts.

I am not sure what she has been thru more.. horses (likely this) or men. But if you want to see an academy performance then watch her with a man.

This donald sounds quite familiar .... and i could see her treating... using him. One person i felt sorry for was Carolyn. ( for both having miss t.b in her life and also her useless husband shayne.
But i do believe most of these posts are quite truthful.
Just came upon all these posts.

  44. Just so everyone knows, she is now operating under AT Kennedy equine at the same facility. A girl messaged her on the weekend to find out about boarding and Traci told them that this is a different barn and that someone else use to run cartel creek ranch that made their lives a living hell..... nothing but lies come out of her mouth. She is the only person who ever ran this facility.

    1. I love coming back to this thread to laugh.

Traci Kennedy/Beckman of Cartel Creek Ranch/ TK Kennedy equine is a pathological liar, and most likely needs to be medicated. I expect her latest hubby to run out of cash, be divorced and then remarried to the next poor soul with a bit of cash to keep her crazy train running. Its thanks to me, that she has little to no online presence.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS WOMEN, SHE IS A CROOK!

  46. I live in the area and drive past this place on a regular basis. I thought that perhaps it was new owners when they fixed up the place from what it used to be. Sadly, I recently heard from another neighbor that it is still owned by Tracy Beckman but, she is married now. Its a shame to hear the reputation of someone in our area. From what I'm told she will buy hay and then have it delivered but, take her time paying and dispute the quality once its unloaded. Neighbors heads up if she comes looking for hay this year

I recently attended a memorial race and this girl attended. You can see by watching her she is a very nervous fretful lady. I pity her for when they announced her name the chatter started amongst the competitors.... none good.
I'm told she has many facebook followers ( laugh inserted) hitler had thousand of followers and Jesus had 12.
