TWO C RANCH HORSES

We are a family run cattle ranch in the Cypress Hills of Alberta. We raise organic angus/hereford cattle and  raise and train quality AQHA and Thoroughbred ranch/performance horses.

Our horses are raised and bred in the big open country, preparing them for there demanding futures as ranch and arena horses. We ride all our studs and our broodmares on the ranch before allowing them to become breeding stock, so we know what kind of horses we are raising and riding. All our horses see loads of hills, trees and wide open miles moving, sorting, branding, roping, packing and showing in ranch horse competitions, AQHA ranch horse versitility and Cowboy Up Challenges. All riding is outside rain, snow or heat, they learn to become trusting, willing partners on the everyday adventures as a ranch horse. After having a good foundation on the ranch our horses go on to the arena, ranch or just quiet trail mounts. Please feel free to contact us about trying one of our SALE horses or having your horse started under saddle.

These horses are bred to be versatile whether it be work, show or play. We have been selecting and culling our breeding horses to only those who show the ability to be a all-around ranch horse, that will rope, show and pleasure ride! We encourage people to come out and see our Studs and Mares and the working colts they produce.

We have several AQHA 2014 babies for sale , proven bloodlines, Mr Sun O Lena, Caught Me Lookin, Paddys Irish Whiskey. Excellent ranch, rope or performance horse prospects.

BOB KAUFMAN TRAINING CLINICS

In addition to owning and operating Stone Hill Ranch, Bob schedules a few horsemansip clinics organized to start unbroke colts, reteach horses with problems, and teach riders advanced horsemanship prinicples and performance. Bob and Deborah have adapted good teaching principles with practicality and their ranching experience.

Starting a young horse entails three full days including working individually to the level of being handled, saddled and ridden safely. Buliding blocks of knowlege and confidence of both horse and rider are advanced to accomplishing a soft stop, turning both directions, begin backing and side passing, and being ridden in the open.

Problems, concerns, and improved performance are covered in a separtate two to three full day clinic that is organized according to participants areas of interests. Topics of trailer loading, clipping, rearing, lead changes, canter departures, and other subjects are taught for all riding disciplines. To organize a great clinic in your area, participate in a clinic or branding or just spend a couple of days riding in the Cypress Hills area please phone or email.

Quality ranch horsees for sale at times.
