I have a few spots open in November and December for horses needing miles out in fields and down roads.

Horses are exposed to many situations and will have 3-5 days a week put on them depending on the horse, his age and fitness level. All horses will be sacked out and have basic manners reinforced.

All riding is done outside.

Young, large and inexperienced horses welcome.

I mainly have experience with larger Thoroughbreds and Warmbloods but all sizes and breeds are welcome.

Horses must be started.

Located by Carseland Alberta, references available.

I am a certified competition coach through the National Coaching Association and Equine Canada.

WILD ROSE EQUINE SERVICES

My name is Cynthia Adams and I am an EC Level 1 Riding Instructor (teaching and training both Western and English disciplines). 

Accepting students interested in dressage (on your own horse). Are you a jumper? No problem, dressage can help improve your flatwork so that you make it through your jump course easier. I also offer lessons in basic western riding.

Cost is $40/lesson + travel fee (if there are enough students in one area, then travel fee can be waved).

I'm currently traveling to Red Deer once a week and can wave the travel fee if you would like a lesson on the same day close by. I am also currently teaching in Olds, Bowden, Didsbury, and west of Torrington. Please inquire if you would like me to travel to a location not listed above.

Occasionally accepting new horses in for training in dressage.

In 2000, I started breeding warmbloods for the English disciplines and am happy with some of the beautiful foals that have resulted. Our breeding program included some wonderful stallions including Jazz, Farrington, Freestyle and Chico's Boy. In 2011, I decided to take an extended break from breeding and am now concentrating strictly on lessons and training.

We offer clinics with Canadian Olympic and PanAm team member, Tom Dvorak 4-5 times a year. Tom has been my trainer and mentor for over 15 years and exemplifies the best qualities that a dressage rider could have. Flawless equitation, a true understanding of the training scale and tools needed to produce high level dressage horses and an unwaivering belief in correct basics. His horses are text book and his results speak volumes. Spectators are always welcome and rider participation is encouraged.

Both myself and a staff member live on site to provide security. I have purchased my hay from the same supplier for the past 19 years who provides me with top quality product. I have used the same farrier for 19 years, Ron Tucker who is regarded in the industry as one of the best performance farriers in Alberta.

I have matched many horse and rider combinations successfully over the years, bred many successful sport horses and trained consistent winners in the show ring. My ongoing goal to create the best care and learning environment continues on today, with the addition now of Centerline success. As a certified performance-life coach, this new element to my business continues to bring growth and personal development to my clients.

WACHTER HORSES

Wachter Horses is a family farm with new barns, pastures, a grass ring, a sand ring, stallion station, youngstock facility, quarantine facilities, and numerous riding trails all situated on 700 acres in Central Alberta.

A fully heated indoor riding hall was completed in 2002 with 25 large stalls and a 75′ x 180′ arena, indoor hotwalker, treadmill, motorized manure removal system, and many more state of the art features.

Board starting at $300 per month. 

Lesson program and lesson horses for all levels of experience. Any level of riders accepted: Beginner to Grand Prix. Whatever your riding goals we can help you achieve it!

OAKEY ACRES

At Oakey Acres we sell a wide range of horses.We breed Warmblood horses for their dressage suitability and jumping talent.

We have a full outdoor arena and an indoor round-pen for you to ride the horses that you are trying in.

Oakey Acres is a family based, and family run horse breeding farm located in Drayton Valley Alberta, Canada. We have horses from weanlings to 14 year olds for sale here, so you have plenty of choice! The disciplines that we train in are jumping, and dressage, mostly.

If you are interested in a horse,and come out to see it, but still can not decide if you should make the purchase or not, then we will be happy to do a free lease, so that you can get to know the horse more, making your decision easier. How our free lease works, is you take the horse, for 1-5 months for free, but you are responsible for all the expenses. Example: Farrier, Vaccinations, Deworming, Transport, stabling, boarding, feed, tack etc...

TRAKEHNER GLEN

As longtime members of the Calgary Dressage Community, Trakehner Glen owners, Fritz and Gisela Baehre, are credited with the introduction of the Trakehner breed to Alberta. Though the days of breeding these fine horses are now gone at TG, their current focus is on operating a high-end dressage training facility in picturesque Priddis, Alberta.

The head trainer, Gillian Wright, is one of only three Level III dressage coaches in Alberta and continues to prove her value to the dressage community through her dedication to classical training.

Stephen Forbes is the resident trainer at SpruceView Hanoverians and very fittingly has a special
