HORSE SENSE TRAINING AND PETTING ZOO

Sonya Steiner's sheer determination, a passion for horses and animals, and her belief in God is what has turned Horse Sense Training and Petting Zoo into a small piece of heaven.

We offer quiet and gentle lesson horses to build and enhance a rider's skills, and aim to help riders develop a more complete understanding of horsemanship. This goes beyond what they learn in the saddle, and helps them grow in all areas of life. Our riding lessons are fun and challenging, with the aim of keeping both rider and their mount's engaged and learning. Those interested in owning a horse but can't afford the costs of horse ownership may be interested in our lesson horse lease program. 

 At Horse Sense we believe in an all-inclusive approach to riding lessons… including catching and tacking up your own horse! We offer lessons for intermediates, adult and child beginners & up. Every summer we run day camps weekly in July/August. Camps and Clinics run at different times during the year, including Fearless Riding Clinics, and New Horse Ownership Clinics. 

We also offer a therapeutic riding program for children and adults with disabilities that are included but not limited to autism, cerebral palsy, orthopaedic conditions, hearing, speech, and visual impairments, and ADD/ADHD.

In addition to this, we also accept clients for board. We welcome all breeds, disciplines, and ages of horses. From the young to the retired, we're happy to offer you a place for your horse to call home. Board includes access to all of the facility's many amenities.

225'x80' Indoor Arena 1/2 mile track, wash racks, lockers, box stalls, tie stalls, concession, riders lounge, equine treadmill, round pens, large pastures, classroom with projector, large on-site and mobile petting zoo, picnic areas, mounting ramp, Cinderella Carriage, horse training, riding lessons, day camps, birthday party packages, clinics, lease program, stallion at stud

K&G EQUINE

K and G Equine started out with Kevin and Gary who had the desire of helping unwanted horses. Horses that, for some reason or another, aren’t needed anymore. They are brought to K and G Equine from privately owned facilities, individuals who can no longer care for them and some are rescued from the meat pen at surrounding auctions.

K & G Equine is a place where horses have a second chance to make a difference in people’s lives. What started out as a rescue has bloomed into an equine paradise.

Although Kevin and Gary are both still dedicated in making a difference and saving as many horses as possible, K and G has expanded and has a lot to offer to the equine enthusiast such as outdoor boarding and riding lessons!
