Touchstone Farm is a family-run Warmblood horse breeding and English style training farm.

Touchstone's goal to breed horses which have tremendous athletic ability without compromising conformation or riding characteristics is driven by the fundamental principles of disposition first, athletic ability second and conformation third.

In other words if you can't ride the horse, the rest no longer matters; if it cannot do the job looks don't count, and if the conformation is not there it will not stay sound. Within this context we select for horses of spectacular beauty, outstanding performance and impeccable rideability. We hope the results speak for themselves.

 

Description

 

Touchstone produces about thirty foals each year from a herd of warmblood mares, most of which are the result of our long standing breeding program. Using A.I. and transported semen the stallions standing at Touchstone cover in excess of 100 mares per year. Frozen semen from Germany, Sweden and Holland continues to be used to complement the breeding program.

If you are looking for a well-started prospect, a young one, or a stallion to breed your mare, we have a variety of options that will fit into anyone's program.

We strive to offer a premium horse at an affordable price. Our intentions are to produce quality working cow horses, roping, reining, cutting, and barrel racing prospects. The main reason we are able to do this is because of the fillies that we raised out of our great sire "Dundee Major". Dundee was bred for versatility, and that allows us to offer something for everyone. He has passed on his exceptional mind, abilities and intelligence to his offpsring, making his daughters the heart of our breeding program.
