TAG ALONG EQUESTRIAN

Tag Along Equestrian has spots open for riding lessons this fall. Learn how to ride a horse on one of our lesson horses or bring your own! With more than 20 years in the horse industry, our Equine Canada certified instructor brings knowledge and experience to her students in a fun, safe environment.

Whether your goal is to ride for fun or to compete, we’ll tailor a program just for you!

Private lessons are $40 and group lessons are $30, paid in a monthly package of four. Riders start at age 5+.

Boarding Available

20 min SE of Sherwood Park, 25 min SE of Edmonton. Just south of highway 14

Our brand new facility offers 5 large stalls, private lockable tack lockers, a huge regularly maintained 100 x 200 outdoor arena, a grassy viewing area near the arena and barn which offers a picnic table, or choose to relax on the patio under our 10' overhang after your ride.

Horses boarded indoors will receive daily turn out in a large group field with the other inside horses (private turn out is available as well depending on availability). Blanketing, daily fly spray, and cubes/hay is all included in the indoor boarding price. Grain will be fed as per provided by the owner, however as a complimentary service we will do your grain shopping for you to save you the hassle of hauling it around.

Recovery board will also be available. Stall rest, hand walking, bandaging, administering medications etc. We are only a few minutes from West Wind and less than half an hour to several vets in the Sherwood Park area.

With over 20 years experience, several years of working under a skilled and busy trainer, years of dressage training, jumping as well as countless clinics and lessons, most recently I have been involved with barrel racing for the past 3 years, has all given me the tools I need to bring young horses along properly and to retrain horses for new careers. Colt starting is not available at this time.
Refreshers, miles, retraining, finishing is all available at $550/month includes board.
Haul in lessons available.

I have been taught by some great trainers in Alberta and have been taught to work on the horses schedule not have the horse work on my schedule. a horse grows 1% a day so 3 months is a minimum time line on starting a horse. 

Problem horses can be a simple issue or deeper than recognized. 

Prices vary dependent on horse and issue. Prices start at $500/ month and up.

Boarding optional at additional cost. 
I do travel to the horse in certain areas and mileage charges may be added if outside the designated areas.

Licensed farrier of 11 years - Correctional shoeing / Barefoot Trimming / Performance through to recreational shoeing. Very good with young / problem horses. Located in the Lloydminster/ Cold Lake / Bonnyville area - but will travel.

Horse Training Offered - Located between Bonnyville and Cold Lake

Professional AQHA horse shower - Reining and Western Pleasure.

Taking horses for training - various options from colt starting to show work, please get in touch to discuss your needs, costs vary according to what you require.

Also offering English lessons, can travel. Qualified instructor from the UK. No english horse training at this time due to injury, but possible in the future.

References available, many years experience with a knowledgeable and sensible approach to horsemanship.

 

HEALING HEARTS HORSE BOARDING AND LESSONS

New Boarding and Lesson Facility 16Kms East of Ponoka on Hwy 53

Very knowledgeable and laid back atmosphere with an outdoor arena, 6 stall barn, huge tack room, 23 acres of treed pasture to ride as well. Mostly wood and pipe fencing with exterior barbed wire. Will be doing new fencing throughout the summer.

We have room for 4 pasture horses and 2 indoor/outdoor board at this time. Our facility is fully insured and well kept.

As an introductory special we will be offering board for a discounted rate of $25 off for the month of June.   Boarding Price List

Pasture Board - $200 per month
Includes:
• Mixed grass pasture rotation
• Excellent quality hay for winter months
• Mineral/Salt
• Active monitoring of body condition
• Any special supplements or grain will be an extra fee and must be prepared by owner every week

Private Boards - $400 per month

• Private covered outdoor run
• Private stall in winter with turnout on nice days

All boarders will have access to our outdoor arena and round pen when lessons are not in session.

Lay Up Service - $500 + cost of meds
This is a special feature offered with us. If you have a hurt horse and do not have the time or possibly the knowledge to treat a wound or a condition let us take on the chore of tending to your horse for you. We are very knowledgeable in veterinary care and holistic treatments as well. We will work with your vet on a treatment plan and take on the responsibility of tending to your equine as if it were our own.

Over Night Stays - $25.00 per night
• Overnight stall or run depending on what you are needing
• Trailer parking

Colt starting programs include, but are not limited to a series of round-pen sessions that develope trust and understanding which work through your horses natural ability and rate of learning. Every horse is its own unique individual and should be treated in such a way.

We have over 20 years experience with horses and specialize in starting and performance training. Stephanie has 20+ years experience with horses. She has lots of experience working with young/green and "problem" horses. She herself is working under one of Canada's top Dressage Coaches and has lots of professional experience working with all levels of horses and riders. Learn from someone who is dedicated in her own training as a rider and can bring to you a new and refreshing program.  Stephanie's goals as a trainer and coach are to develop a partnership based on trust, lightness and harmony. Regardless of your discipline of choice or whether you’re a beginner or an experienced horse person we can develop a program to suit you and your horse. Training includes all care, feed, and boarding costs including supplements and minerals. Horses have large private paddocks during the day and come into stalls with runs for the night. They have access to hay and water at all times. Our goal is to ensure that horses receive the best care and are happy and healthy throughout their stay. Training programs are designed specifically for you and your horse. Lessons throughout the training period are included in the price and you can have as many lessons a week as you would like. I recommend at least 1-2x a week if possible you come for a lesson. This is however not necessary if you are unable or live far away. We are a smaller operation and therefore have the time to devote to each horse ensuring the best care and quality. We are offering:
Outdoor pasture board for $200/month (grass field)**NO barbwire!
Paddock board for $220/month.
Indoor board with turn out for $295/month.
*All include hay and mineral/salt blocks.

We have a beautiful 95x220 outdoor arena with river sand. Not too deep or too hard. There is a mechanical cow, barrels, and a few jump standards and poles to play with.

Lots of cut trails to venture out on. Even a grass strip almost a 1/4 mile long with no holes if you want to let the horses open up a bit.

We also offer:
- Lessons for various levels and activities. Lessons are $35/hour.
- Horse training is $500/month plus board. We prefer started horses but will take a few unbroke horses provided they've been handled. We can put miles on, tune up, and finish horses for many disciplines.
- Legging up for $300/month plus board. If you don't have the time or facility to condition your horse this is the perfect solution.
*Time frame on lessons, training and legging up will vary from October to April depending on weather as we don't have our indoor facility up yet.

Hazelbrae Acres offers rehab and retirement boarding for your special equine friend. The 40 acre farm is located on Highway 16, just  beside the town of Stony Plain - easy access from the west side of Edmonton,  Alberta.

All horses are checked daily by the mother daughter team of Tiffanie Adams-Hutnan and Cyndie Adams-Crook. Both Cyndie and Tiffanie are experienced horse people and have run their horse boarding facility in the Stony Plain area since 1995.

Tiffanie currently trains and competes Coachella, her homebred Holsteiner-bred mare in the jumper circuit, and Cyndie trains and succesfully competes Solaz, a homebred Connemara / Dutch warmblood gelding and Sierra, a Connemara / Thoroughbred mare in Combined Driving Events.

KDM Performance Horses is a locally run business just outside of Hanna Alberta.

 
Here at KDM, we focus on breeding quality horses that are versatile, trainable and eye catching.

We currently stand two stallions. QAR Just A Twig is our 2006 ApHC stallion and Heza Frosted Dun It is our 2011 AQHA stallion. Both of our boys are correct and have incredible dispositions in addition to having come from proven bloodlines.

 
While breeding both appaloosas and quarter horses, we focus on the conformation, disposition, bloodlines and trainability of our colts. Simply put, one cannot ride colour.

 
In short we are trying to raise quality horses with unique colour being an added bonus.
