BIELECKI EQUESTRIAN AND GREENBRIAR STABLES

Bielecki Equestrian is now accepting new clients for our lesson program.

Nancy Bielecki has been teaching and coaching since 2004. This year marks Nancy's 10th anniversary as a instructor and what better way to commemorate this milestone, but to launch Bielecki Equestrian.
Bielecki Equestrian launched in the spring of 2014, just in time for show season to get underway.

Nancy’s philosophy focuses on a strong emphasis of proper riding position, equitation, as well as clear communication between horse and rider. Nancy and her students show successfully at the novice and intermediate levels at many venues including Spruce Meadows and Rocky Mountain Show Jumping.

We operate out of GreenBriar Stables & Riding Academy with one of the largest indoor arenas in the Calgary area. School horses are available to use in lessons! GreenBriar Stables is a fully serviced equestrian facility with indoor and outdoor board options. To learn more check out GB's website.

HORSE SENSE TRAINING AND PETTING ZOO

Sonya Steiner's sheer determination, a passion for horses and animals, and her belief in God is what has turned Horse Sense Training and Petting Zoo into a small piece of heaven.

We offer quiet and gentle lesson horses to build and enhance a rider's skills, and aim to help riders develop a more complete understanding of horsemanship. This goes beyond what they learn in the saddle, and helps them grow in all areas of life. Our riding lessons are fun and challenging, with the aim of keeping both rider and their mount's engaged and learning. Those interested in owning a horse but can't afford the costs of horse ownership may be interested in our lesson horse lease program. 

 At Horse Sense we believe in an all-inclusive approach to riding lessons… including catching and tacking up your own horse! We offer lessons for intermediates, adult and child beginners & up. Every summer we run day camps weekly in July/August. Camps and Clinics run at different times during the year, including Fearless Riding Clinics, and New Horse Ownership Clinics. 

We also offer a therapeutic riding program for children and adults with disabilities that are included but not limited to autism, cerebral palsy, orthopaedic conditions, hearing, speech, and visual impairments, and ADD/ADHD.

In addition to this, we also accept clients for board. We welcome all breeds, disciplines, and ages of horses. From the young to the retired, we're happy to offer you a place for your horse to call home. Board includes access to all of the facility's many amenities.

ESPRIX STABLES

Esprix Stables is established on a ¼ section just south west of Stony plain, it is the home of High Performance Riding Club and 25+ horses. Within the club is an active competitive group of Show Jumpers as well as Therapeutic Lessons led by Sheri. Therapeutic Lessons provide riders of all abilities to enjoy riding as a therapy as well as recreation. This program can be run year round with the facilities having a fully heated, large indoor arena with attached stabling area for the horses and riders.

Esprix stables is located 10m southwest of Stony Plain on 627 and a mile south from the four way where 627 and 770 meet.

We offer English lessons for all ages and levels. We train for hunter Jumpers and work with many other things. We offer summer camps as well.

Sheri Donner Watson is also a certified therapeutic trainer. She trains therapeutic for all ages and levels as well.

We offer horse board and horse training.

FINNEGAN FARMS

Offering English and western riding lessons for all ages. We have reliable horses, and patient and qualified instructors. Specializing in English and western equitation and pleasure, hunter, jumper and mounted games. We ride indoors in poor wether, and lessons run year round. We also have half lease options available or show lease options (where you take a lesson horse to compete in a show) upon availability.  
We are also booking the final spots for our summer camps, which run Monday to Friday from June 30th to August 29th. Summer camps are open to ages 7+, and single day camps are open to ages 4+. Prices:

MAPLE LEAF MEADOWS

Maple Leaf Meadows International is committed to training riders of all ages and abilities in the areas of horsemanship, horse husbandry skills and horseback riding.

MLM is home to over 100 horses and welcomes new and returning lesson clients each session. MLM offers a number of services to its clients including riding lessons, summer camps, horse training, horse boarding and exceptional horse care.

MLM runs a number of events each season ranging from the Development Show Series to the larger Hunter/Jumper Festivals. Join us for our tack swaps, dressage shows and seasonal clinics.

COUNTRY ACRE STABLES

Nestled in the rolling hills on the west side of Gull Lake in Central Alberta, Country Acre Stables beckons to horse lovers of all ages and abilities and offers a full range of horse services.

Country Acre Stables boasts 160 acres of quiet, scenic wooded trails, open fields, a riding arena and picnic facilities. Hourly trail rides are available all day, private or group lessons are offered in Western. Pony rides are available for smaller children, and light refreshments and beverages are offered.

We have regular children and adult lessons running throughout the week between September and June.  The summer months are camps and other events.  Our focus is to to teach you how to become united with a horse, understanding what they are and how they behave.  It is a complete experience including horse care, how to groom and feed, as well as how to communicate, lead and ride as one with the horse.

All lessons are taught bareback, without saddles, to help you feel and understand the horse better.

We are located 45 minutes Northwest of Red Deer, Alberta in Rimbey. We are pleased to say that we have many wonderful horses here of various breeds including purebred Egyptian Arabian, Part-Bred Arabian, Arabian-Quarter Horse (Quarab) and American Paint.

Founded in 2006, Majestic Arabians Ranch endeavours to raise horses suitable for work, pleasure and sport. ABOUT US

Owner-operator Valerie Weiss has been riding horses since the tender age of two years. Raised on a cattle ranch she learned how to train and show horses, work with cattle, brand, rope, calve-out and much more. Most summers were spent at other horse camps teaching children how to ride and train their horses.

Valerie feels it a blessing and joy to work with children and in addition to having taken courses in parenting and early childhood development, was a day care provider from 1998-2003 and a First Aid Instructor for the Canadian Red Cross for eight years. Currently, Valerie is taking courses in Pastoral Theology/Counselling Ministry as she works toward her degree in the same at Beacin University in Columbus, Georgia under the CLEN organization. Valerie has a genuine passion for children and animals and desires to combine the two and fulfill a calling she feels to minister to children through teaching them about horses at the ranch she has built with her husband, Chuck Weiss.

WHITEMUD EQUINE LEARNING CENTRE

For more than a decade, the Whitemud Equine Learning Centre Association (WELCA) has been quietly helping to develop people of strength and contributors to the Edmonton community. Through our equine-related activities, we will increase our role in creating a better quality of life for all Edmontonians.

WELCA provides easy access for anyone wishing to discover the joys of equine activities, and those who wish to rekindle their love for horses. Our centrally located services help young urban people develop self-confidence and self-esteem, and our horses are instrumental in providing therapeutic services for people living with mental health issues or diseases such as multiple sclerosis. We provide learning opportunities for students of all ages, whether it is veterinarian studies or learning an equine sport. And we help urbanites gain a better understanding of life on a horse farm, right in the heart of the city.

We make all this possible using our own herd of horses and some which are loaned to us.
WELCA’s learning centre provides programs to approximately 1,000 visitors each week. Our different horse riding programs and instructions are available at various levels to the general public, school groups, and people with disabilities.

Our future plans include the development of a world-class equine learning centre in which more Edmontonians and people from all over the world can come to study horses and learn about their special relationship with people. The new facility will be developed on our existing site on Fox Drive, and will be integrated into the beautiful heritage setting of the Keillor Farm. Once completed, our new facility will allow us to help even more Edmontonians, and allow us to continue our mission of contributing to a stronger community, locally and globally.

BIRCH BAY RANCH

Welcome to the Birch Bay Ranch website! Children, youth and adults alike will enjoy a safe, fun and educational experience at Birch Bay Ranch – challenging the ropes course, enjoying nature from horseback, savoring great food and much, much more! Birch Bay Ranch began as a small summer camp and has now expanded into both a year-round retreat center and summer youth camp.

WILLOW GROVE STABLES

Willow Grove Stable is a professional equestrian facility specializing in hunter, jumper, equitation and three-day eventing. At Willow Grove we take pride in our personal hands-on approach to helping riders at all levels achieve their goals. We offer the best in riding, training, coaching and boarding services. 

We utilize such national programs as Equine Canada’s’ Long Term Equestrian Development and the Learn to Ride program where riders can receive recognition and achieve certification for both riding and stable management. We are also a training facility for developing coaches who wish to attain certification with the Equine Canada and Coaching Association of Canada programs. By mentoring prospective and existing coaches, Trish has helped many people realize success in their equestrian careers.

Continuing education sessions are conducted throughout the year, and training camps and day camps are held each summer. Willow Grove also hosts clinics and seminars in coaching development, sports psychology, physiotherapy, dressage, stable management, young horse development and jumping (to name a few) year round.

With an extensive educational and practical background in the horse and wellness industries, we are able to develop year long health and wellness programs for both horse and rider. Prevention is one of the keys in managing the health of both our horses and riders. We also pride ourselves at being able to recognize and rehabilitate horses with many lameness and/or health issues utilizing the latest products and information available.

BLARNEY STONE FARMS

Blarney Stone Farms offers full service boarding as well as bringing quality instruction to the riders of Edmonton and surrounding area.

Blarney Stone Farms operates one of the best school horse programs in Edmonton. Our program is a combination of flat work and jumping designed to develop students interested in the hunter/jumper discipline. Every level of rider, aged six and up, is welcome in the school horse program. We run from very beginner to the three foot jumper. We currently have 16 school horses and ponies, all of which are quiet and very well trained.

We do not offer western or dressage lessons at Blarney Stone Farms.

Lessons in the school horse program run four days a week. Lessons are currently offered in packages of 10 lessons, which must be used up in consecutive weeks. Students must take a minimum of 1 lesson a week and can take up to four per week if space permits. Any lessons missed must be made in the allotted time. It is highly recommended not to miss as space is very limited and make up lessons hard to schedule. 

Summer Camps

In addition to our regular lessons, Blarney Stone Farms offers summer camps each year in July and August.
Riders come Monday to Friday from 9 am until 4 pm and learn every aspect of horse care in addition to 2 hours of ridden instruction each day.

Summer camp brochures will be available on line beginning in late April of each year and fill up fast as space is limited.
