CZECH MATE TRAINING

COLT STARTING / HORSE TRAINING / BAREFOOT TRIMMING / LESSONS

I offer starting of young horses (colts) and help with common horse related problems: horses that don't like to load in the trailer, stand for your farrier, pull while tied, spook around traffic, desensitizing to plastic tarps, livestock and much, much more. If there are other, more specific, concerns you might have, I can do my best to assist with those as well.I also offer private one on one riding and horsemanship lessons. I strongly believe that they are great for anyone interested in building a solid foundation and establishing trust and communication between a human and their four-legged friend. The lessons are also great for increasing your knowledge in tack, bits, saddle-fitting, etc.
I like to keep the sessions tailored to your needs as well as low key and fun for your enjoyment. Whether you want to ride in the arena or out on the trails is entirely up to you and what you feel comfortable with.

NORTHFORK FARM

Ride with Comfort and Pride on a Tennessee Walking Horse.

We welcome visitors to Northfork Farm to see our TWH horses. We have horses for sale and the black stallion, Northfork Top Traveler (Chapie’s Topper x a He’za Walker daughter) standing at stud.

PLATINIUM PAINTS

Training for the all round show horse, Western Pleasure, Showmanship, HUS, trail, patterns, also halter preparation and lunge line. Also specialize in colt starting, tune ups, basic western training, ranch, reining and start horses leaned towards the cattle events.Really strive for the broke, safe, all round horse that can not only do well in the arena but is safe and enjoyable to take down the trails. Look at every horse as an individual and base their training around this and their owners needs and goals.

Starting colts right and thorough, training them so they are soft in the face and well broke off your leg, good stop, turn around, also training them to use there shoulder's, hind end, neck, legs and body properly, for the discipline you strive with them. All this with sane and soundness!

As for your show horses, we start them in the right direction for showing and take in horses for training based on the APHC CCF futurity program, including halter, lunge line, western pleasure, HUS, trail and reining. Great place to have your seasoned show horse also, for tune ups and more training before next years show season! Both Breed and Open show horses welcome.

Offer lessons and also take horses in on a sales commission term, allowing your horse to be in either full or part time training while being listed for sale.

Training out of CJ Equine Facility this fall, winter and spring. Indoor arena, heated box stall barn and tack room, both individual turn outs and pasture turn outs. Located by Winfield AB

The Double W Riding Academy is located by Bluffton. Just 5 years young, the Academy is quickly becoming known and enjoyed as one of Alberta's finest equine facilities. 

Natural lighting abounds with 80+ windows in the heated indoor (80x200) arena, and main and adjoining barns. First class footing-groomed daily,  is enjoyed by all disciplines - sorry no cows here! 

A deluxe viewing lounge and kitchen also serves as a meeting area for up to 25 people. 

Double W offers indoor and outdoor boarding with spacious turnout on grass paddocks and pastures. The arena and up to 30 stalls are available to rent for clinics and workshops.
