CROSS FARRIER SERVICES

I am a local farrier looking to expand my clientele in the Edmonton and Camrose area. 

I am willing to travel however if I am called out for 3 or less horses I have to charge mileage. Mileage charges are based from Camrose.

 My prices range from:

$35-$40 per trim for regular sized horses.

$30- 35 for miniatures

$70 For draft horses

Discounts for over 4 horses can be worked out for regular clientele with well behaved horses.

Price range will depend on your horses temperament throughout the appointment. I am willing to work with all horses at their own pace however I ask that you are able to pick up all four feet without incident before I am willing to work with them.

CARTWHEELS DRIVING CENTRE

Cartwheels Driving Centre, located east of Okotoks, provides harness training for ponies, horses, donkeys, and mules, from very small equines up to warmblood sizes (no full drafts). Operating full time since 1998 (as Cartwheels Driving Centre since 2003). Specializing in training for Combined Driving (singles and pairs) and Recreational Driving (singles, pairs, multiples). Coaching (Equine Canada certified 2003-13), clinics, demos available. Lesson horse available.

Also provide instruction/training in longlining, classical in-hand work, foundational groundwork and under-saddle training for driving horses (that is: dressage basics to develop contact, connection, bend,etc.).

Our farm was founded in 2003 with the purchase of home in Stirling, Alberta! I am Rosemarie Poynter-Jubb I grew up in Cochrane Alberta and started showing horses at the age of 5...and the love of horses spiralled into breeding, and showing at open shows with various breed shows such as Quarter Horses, Arabians, Paints, Hunters, Warmbloods and Appaloosas at Local, National and World Level. I was a carded judge for the ApHCC and CEF and Equine Canada and was carded and judged for over 25yrs and have since retired from judging.

I have also raised Quarter Horses, Paints, Warmbloods, Trakehners but specialized in the Appaloosas. I trained and/or bred many Appaloosas that have obtained National Champions, world top 7 and World Championships. I have also coached some of my students to National Championships in showmanship, hunter under saddle, hunt-seat equitation, western pleasure, western equitation/horsemanship. Over the years I have volunteered my time to the industry with putting on shows and being an active member of different clubs and associations.

Showtyme Stables soon became Showtyme Miniature Horses and Shetlands when a back injury prevented me from riding the horses. They have since become me and my son Jordan’s life who also too shares the same passion for the horse. Since having the Miniature Horses and the Shetlands we have acquired some of the most sot after bloodlines. From this we have had many foals and many show successes! These titles include Canadian National Champion, along with many Grand and Reserve Championships in both halter and performance classes.

Classic Touch Equine is a new to the family, as our daughter Amanda has finished all her schooling and is now a certified Equine Body Worker through Equinology.... as well as Amanda graduated with honors from Olds College, with a diploma in Equine Science Reproduction and Breeding Management. Her recent work in this field has been in Bassano Alberta working at Sandy Ridge Stallion Station.

We are home to L&L Little Scooter, a 32" silver Bay Miniature stallion and Oh Tao Tie, 2003 appendix AQHA stallion.

BRICKER FARMS

Welcome to Bricker Farms Ltd.! Our farm a has been farmed by our family for over 100 years. We are located just north of Blackie. Blackie is approximately 35 minutes south east of Calgary Alberta. We mainly farm mixed grains. We have always had a love for the horses so we also have a small breeding program for the miniature horse.

We purchased our first miniature horse in 2000 and have never looked back. Since then we have added several more to complete our herd of miniature horses. We love to drive our miniature horses so much that we purchased a pair of Fell ponies to add to our driving experience. We currently keep our breeding to a limited number of miniature horses and will eventually breed our Fell Ponies. Most of our horses are AMHA registered with a select few being both AMHA &AMHR. We are always striving to breed quality driving and performance horses while trying to keep the beauty of a halter horse.
