Offering horse training just 30 minutes north of Edmonton close to Red Water with an indoor arena 85x110, heated barn,outdoor arena 200x180, several round pens, paddocks and pasture. Each horse in training is in a private paddock with automatic water and great quality hay.

Ten years experience training horses and am a certified equine specialist with many references available upon request. Worked with horses from all walks of life and all different breeds.With horses being an energy based animal especially revolving around their nervous system in how they work/react, I work with horses in such a way to build a solid foundation starting on the ground. Each horse progresses and moves forward in different ways making having different techniques vital to carrying through the training needed.

HAZELBRAE ACRES

Hazelbrae Acres offers rehab and retirement boarding for your special equine friend. The 40 acre farm is located on Highway 16, just  beside the town of Stony Plain - easy access from the west side of Edmonton,  Alberta.

All horses are checked daily by the mother daughter team of Tiffanie Adams-Hutnan and Cyndie Adams-Crook. Both Cyndie and Tiffanie are experienced horse people and have run their horse boarding facility in the Stony Plain area since 1995.

Tiffanie currently trains and competes Coachella, her homebred Holsteiner-bred mare in the jumper circuit, and Cyndie trains and succesfully competes Solaz, a homebred Connemara / Dutch warmblood gelding and Sierra, a Connemara / Thoroughbred mare in Combined Driving Events.

As well as horses in our placement program, we often list others by referral. Performance Standardbreds was established in 1990 by a few Standardbred enthusiasts who realized the animal's enormous potential use for riding or driving. The Standardbred is one of the most versatile breeds by far. By age three, there are many already starting their second careers. Throughout their early years, the foundation has been established and now it's onwards and upwards for these athletic, sturdy, sensible horses. Jumping, dressage, endurance and competitive trail - there really is no limit to what they can accomplish!

Recognizing the potential of and the need to give these horses that are no longer able to race new lives, Performance Standardbreds promotes the breed in a new and positive light. 

CARTWHEELS DRIVING CENTRE

Cartwheels Driving Centre, located east of Okotoks, provides harness training for ponies, horses, donkeys, and mules, from very small equines up to warmblood sizes (no full drafts). Operating full time since 1998 (as Cartwheels Driving Centre since 2003). Specializing in training for Combined Driving (singles and pairs) and Recreational Driving (singles, pairs, multiples). Coaching (Equine Canada certified 2003-13), clinics, demos available. Lesson horse available.

Also provide instruction/training in longlining, classical in-hand work, foundational groundwork and under-saddle training for driving horses (that is: dressage basics to develop contact, connection, bend,etc.). 

Indoor/outdoor facility, year-round training, upgrading, and conditioning. References available.

$950/month; $850/month for minis/small equines.
 Includes board and unlimited lessons while training is in progress.

TAMRAC RANCH

Tamrac Ranch is offering horse board, training and riding lessons with Certified Coach.

Heated indoor barn, non heated barn, paddocks and pasture type pens available. Large indoor arena, and out door arena. Access to trails.
Offering horse training specializing in driving and Morgan showing. Will provide training in all disciplines.

Accepting new clients for training and all types of boarders are welcome.

BERRY RIDGE MINIATURE DONKEYS

At Berry Ridge, we raise and train miniature donkeys for driving and performance.  All our donkeys are halter trained, friendly and easy to handle.  We have both single driving donkeys and teams for sale.  Our breeding program includes sorrel, brown and black donkeys.

BRICKER FARMS

Welcome to Bricker Farms Ltd.! Our farm a has been farmed by our family for over 100 years. We are located just north of Blackie. Blackie is approximately 35 minutes south east of Calgary Alberta. We mainly farm mixed grains. We have always had a love for the horses so we also have a small breeding program for the miniature horse.

We purchased our first miniature horse in 2000 and have never looked back. Since then we have added several more to complete our herd of miniature horses. We love to drive our miniature horses so much that we purchased a pair of Fell ponies to add to our driving experience. We currently keep our breeding to a limited number of miniature horses and will eventually breed our Fell Ponies. Most of our horses are AMHA registered with a select few being both AMHA &AMHR. We are always striving to breed quality driving and performance horses while trying to keep the beauty of a halter horse. We are active members of the Western Canadian Miniature Horse Club and we are proud to have donated the 2010 horse for the WCMHC's Youth Incentive Program. (YIP)!
