M SHWANKE HORSEMANSHIP

Video of a couple of first and second rides here:
https://www.facebook.com/MShwankeHorsemanship/videos/1684276988505810/

I train English, western, harness, and bridleless, and have experience in rodeo, jumpers, extensive trail experience, and driving.

I believe in a solid, thoroughly-built groundwork foundation, establishing a horse that is accustomed to an active environment while maintaining a light sensitivity where it's important. Soft, flexible head, neck, and body with strong hind end impulsion is encouraged and enforced throughout groundwork. I do not "cowboy break" or quick fix, so there is never any "bucking it out" or driving a horse to exhaustion. I teach very low contact on the hands for English, and no contact at all for Western. Body language is a huge part of my training. While firm and focusing on respect, I am not aggressive and have a lot of patience. I encourage owners to visit or sit in on sessions and even take on some hands-on learning experience so that when the horse goes home, the owner is able to continue progressing with their horse.

GEMINI EQUESTRIAN

I am taking on 2 more clients for the November/ December months for colt starting, problem solving, trailering assitance, or for your older horse that needs a refresher with some groundwork basics and miles. Because I don't have yet have my facility estabilished, I am travelling to you and your horse and I can provide all tack and equipment if need be, English or Western. I highly suggest that owner or rider spend a couple sessions with myself and the horse so I am able to fully explain aids I have used, and give a couple lessons. If you have access to an indoor arena/ round pen, thats always helpful! If not, we can always make arrangements to travel locally.

I offer a $30 flat fee ( inlcuding mileage within reason ) to come to your place to meet your horse/horses and do an assessment.

Rates are as follows:
- Colt Starting ( Horses with 0 to Under 30 days ) : $700 a month for a minimum of two months.
* This includes working with the horse 4-5 days a week*

- Groundwork Refreshers and miles : $400-500 per month
* Includes working with the horse for 2-3 days per week *

- Problem Solving : $30 per session (up to 1.5 hours), per horse, plus mileage @ .50 Cents per Kilometre traveled.

I follow natural horsemanship techniques from the horseman that started it all; Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt. I always put the horse first and I don't believe in using tools to force horses to do anything. With the proper foundation on the ground, and a kind heart with understanding to how the horse thinks, anything can be accomplished. Feel free to check out my website, and facebook page. Tons of pictures and referances avalible upon request.

Spots are filling up quickly! I look forward to meeting you all and helping you with your 4-legged friends :)

KYLE FISCHER HORSE TRAINING

I am looking to take on new clients during the evenings (or full time if the pay is right) this winter for Colt starting, problem solving, riding lessons and horsemanship lessons. I will travel to you, as I do not have a barn or personal facility yet set up. I do have the option of you trailering to my arena (indoor, heated) as long as horse has 5 way shots, dewormed and strangles vaccine.

The way I train follows 3 principles/rules:

1. Making the wrong thing hard and the right thing easy
2. Take the time it takes for the horse to understand
3. Don’t ask a question the horse doesn’t already have the answer for

I break down what I am teaching into small steps using previously learned answers. I am not a “natural horsemanship” trainer (Nothing natural to the horse about riding him) but I train to give the horse the best deal and as much opportunity to learn as possible. This gets you a willing, calm, athletic and worry free companion that has the confidence to do any discipline you want and enjoys it.

Colt Starting (horse with 0 – under 30 days): $600/Month not including board (4 lessons a week, time depends on horse) with half up front.

Problem Solving (e.g. trailer loading, picking up hooves, head tossing, laziness, bolting, rearing, etc.): $30/hour – Will drop to $25/hour if there are more than one person for the hour!

Riding/horsemanship lessons: $30/hour (this is with you and the horse, or just myself training your horse)
Each horse I train will know the below regardless of discipline. These are things each horse gains though my training program/style:

- loose reined walk, trot, lope (canter)
- neck reining
- halt (stand for mounting, ground tie)
- back up
- side pass
- turn on front, turn on rear
- collected walk, trot, lope (canter)
- extended trot and canter
- Slow off the seat

Once your horse has the basics I can orientate to specific disciplines:

Lower Level Dressage
Beginner Jumping
Reining
Trail Riding
Cow work (if you have access to cows/flag/mechanical it would be better)
Basic Western Pleasure

I like to have the owner/rider spend a few lessons with me and the horse so that both are on the same page if I am to be training the horse without your presence. Horse will require its own tack as well. I do have a few saddles, but my boys are fairly wide withered and saddles may not fit many horses.

Mileage fees will depend on how far I have to drive.

TRANQUIL EQUINE THERAPY

I am a certified Equine Massage Therapist from British Columbia. I travel to the Edmonton area every few weeks and would love to start getting some clients in the area!

I was born and raised with a passion for horses, and starting at a young age I knew I wanted to pursue a career working in the Equine Industry. My interest in equine massage therapy began at the age of 16, so I began seeking out short weekend courses for massage therapy to learn basic techniques. I was so fascinated by the difference the few basic skills I had learned helped my barrel horse Indi, during my high school rodeo days.

I have since continued expanding my knowledge of equine anatomy and equine massage. I attended first semester of the Equine Science Program at Olds College and recently have graduated from the Extended Massage course offered by Equanimity Edge with Sidonia Mcyntire. But I am far from finished! I hope to keep expanding my knowledge as I am looking into learning Equine acupressure, and whatever else related to equine rehab that may strike my interest next.

Check out the "Tranquil Equine Therapy" Facebook page for more information about myself and my business.

Feel free to call or text me  with any questions or to book an appointment for your horse and experience the amazing results of Equine massage therapy!

WHOLE HARMONIZED HEALING

Therapeutic Sports Massage

Having regular massages helps to increase circulation thereby boosting the immune system. Massage helps to maintain physical condition and prevent injuries, speeds healing, relieves tension and can help improve the disposition of animal.

Reiki

Reiki is ‘universal life force energy’. It knows exactly where to go and what to heal whether it is physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. This type of healing can be done ‘hands on’ or at a distance. It is a therapy that can be used to speed healing (after a surgery or injury), to balance body energy, to clear old emotions, to ease chronic pain or just to relax and rejuvenate. This is a non-invasive therapy that is pleasant to experience and has amazing results.

Whole Harmonized Healing offers massage and Reiki treatments or a combination of both. Reiki will also help to speed healing, assists in clearing old emotions or fear issues, relieves tension, and balances the body energy. The combination of both therapies together is amazing!
