Welcome to Flattop Horsemanship by Marty Gardner, our facility is located just north of a small town called Stavely in southern Alberta, just an hour south of Calgary, where we are committed to helping you acquire a Soft, Supple, and Responsive horse no matter the discipline, English or Western.
As a working cowboy on some of Alberta's largest ranches, Marty began his jouney to becoming a Horseman, Clinician and Coach. His days were spent moving large herds and doctoring cattle and every evening you could find Marty working with another horse, or practicing his ranch roping, or teaching a friend or neighbour some of the Vaquero traditions he is so passionate about.
In July 2007, with the encouragement of his partner Yvonne, Marty left full time cowboying in the pursuit of helping people build unity with thier horses the way he found unity with his.
