Our equine services include farrier, horse training, quarter horses for sale, and custom cowboying.

We are located in Mirror, AB which is 45mins North East of Red Deer. Our family includes Blane, Tasha, and son Braxton. Blane grew up north of Saskatoon on the mixed family farm of grain, hogs, cattle, sheep as well as light and draft horses. Blane always had a love for horses and you could always find him somewhere near them. At the age of 13 Blane started trimming his own saddle horses and at the age of 14 he had to learn to shoe his own horses because he rode so much that he kept wearing the feet down too short. At this time is when he realized he needed more horses to ride but not having the money to afford another he started to take in friends and neighbors horses for training and to put miles on.

In 2001 at the age of 19 Blane became a certified farrier through the Canadian Farrier School program and began his career as a farrier. Blane has also taken a equine kiniseology program. His farrier clientele consists of a couple drivers from the World Professional Chuckwagon Association including 2014 Calgary Stampede and Ponoka Stampede Champion Kurt Bensmiller, team ropers, reining and cowhorse, ranch and trail horses, barrel racers and a few jumping horses.

In the last two years Blane has focused more attention to starting and training colts. Blane also buys, sells and raises a few registered quarter horses and almost always has a few of his own on the go as well as taking in a few outside horses to train. Blanes focus is to eventually show in versatility ranch horse competitions and get back into team roping as well. His training program follows a lot of the same lines as the "Training Thru Trust" program of Doug Mills.
