July 2014 - I would not recommend Justin Gamble . I can not truly speak to how he
trains, as my mare was too thin to even consider trying to ride when i
brought her home. His feed to work ratio does not add up. I have since
found out that he had her locked up in the barn starving her, when he
was telling me he was riding here and using her on cattle.

Who ever wrote up this post obviously never went to check up on their horse. I have sent 6 horses to Justin and have been very happy with all of them. He does not take any jo blow horses and i know for a fact he rides them and feeds them as i went for lessons every week at his place.
ReplyDelete"not checking up on your horse" is absolutely NO reason for them to be returned in poor condition. That is a load of self-riteous BS. Trainers take accountability for the horses trusted in their care, and if they cannot and cannot properly communicate with owners about the body condition of their animals, they should NOT BE TRAINING HORSES FOR THE PUBLIC. There are not just one or two cases of horses being neglected in his care, there are many. Do some research before booking horses with this trainer.
DeleteI sent a 3yr old to him. My gelding came home with his head and ears dragging, nose and eyes running, he looked like a very old horse. He was very sick and very very under weight. All he had to eat was straw and there was about 20 horses in that pen. It cost me a pile of money of money for vet bills, expensive feed, good shelter. He had no winter hair and it was late fall, it was getting very cold, so ya not very happy with mr, Gamble and he will never see another one of my horses. He should be shut down
