Canabar Farm located just north-east of Lacombe, Alberta. The 60
acres of rolling farmland are owned by Ann de St Remy and Vern Baron.
We began raising Morgan horses in 1989 when we purchased our first
broodmare, Drumlin Irish Miss. Our goal is to breed quality western
pleasure horses that are suited to amateur riders.
We have a small band of broodmares descended from some of the best
and most beautiful lines in the Morgan breed. We do not own or stand a
stallion which allows us to choose our sires that complement our
broodmares. We usually have one or two foals a year so we have the time
to work with each from birth.
The success of Canabar-bred horses that we have shown comes from
working with our trainers at Brouwer Performance Horses. Ron and Darlene
have trained our horses since 1992. We cherish memories of many trips
to Oklahoma City with them.
