Starting Colts properly is one of the best gifts you can give you and your horse. It will strengthen your relationship and help build a bond that will allow you to work side by side in confidence.
That's why I've (Gary) developed the 5 step method. The key to solving any problems a horse or colt has is by developing his trust in you. I will teach you how you can develop trust and Ground Manners in your horses and colts with simple 1 hour sessions over 3 days. At the end of the 5 sessions you will be able to get on your horse for the first time and ride out of the pen, confident that you are in control of your horse.
If you’ve ever tried to start a colt yourself, you’ll know that without some experience behind you it’s not an easy task. What you think would work often doesn’t and the solution is usually the opposite of what you would expect. In my course you will learn how to start any colt, with any temperament and be riding in 5 days
Train Any Horse Young or Old
Through 5 short 1 hour classes over 3 days you will be able to take your colt that has never been ridden, saddled, or bridled, and confidently ride out of the pen on him. My method has been developed over 30 years of working directly with horses. This can be used on any horse young or old and with any temperament. And it will work.
Session One: We cover Sacking out and Saddling
Session Two: Sacking, Saddling & Head-to-Tail
Session Three: Driving Your Colt with the Halter
Session Four: Driving Your Colt with the Big Ring Snaffle Bit
Session Five: Riding Your Colt
That’s it! In 5 short sessions, you’ll build your colt into a horse you can confidently ride and control
