Reposted from Wild Pink YonderToday my farrier came. She is the most wonderful farrier in the Edmonton area, if not the entire province. Her name is Laura Underschultz. She is good. And she’s annoying. (She’s 6′ tall, or very close to it, blonde, slim and beautiful. I don’t mean ho-hum good looking. This girl is stunning. So, as I said … she’s annoying! *grin*)
Anyway, she shod The Boys with borium (so they won’t slip when we’re on concrete or pavement), with leather soles (so they won’t get rock bruises on heavy gravel) and “goop” under the leather (so they won’t get thrush whilst wearing the leather soles). They are ready to rock and roll.
And then, because she is such a peach, she pledged $150 to the ride! We love Laura Underschultz. If you need a farrier, and you live in the Edmonton area, Laura’s your girl.
