Active Prohibition Orders in Alberta

Wherever possible and appropriate, the Alberta SPCA seeks to have prohibition orders included in sentencing for convictions under the Animal Protection Act.

The following prohibition orders, relating to convictions arising from cases investigated by the Alberta SPCA, are still in effect.

As related to horses, the offenders are as follows;

Karine Sheila MacKey - August 29, 2011 till 2017
MacKey is prohibited for six years from owning any horses.

Phil Gauthier - August 24, 2011 till 2016
Gauthier is prohibited for five years from owning more than five horses.

Tammy Marie Thompson - June 20, 2011 till 2016
Thompson is prohibited for five years from owning, possessing or having care or control of more than 10 horses.

Carole Harrison - January 20, 2011 for life
Harrison is prohibited for life from owning, possessing or having care or control of any horses.

Corey Harrison -  January 20, 2011 for life
Harrison is prohibited for life from owning, possessing or having care or control of any horses.
