 Chinook Winds Equestrian Center offers top quality care at reasonable rates! All horses are treated with love and respect. 

Good quality round bales are provided when there is not plentiful grass for all horses not over weight, easy keepers get appropriate portions of hay 4x/day. 

All boarders have access to the indoor heated arena, outdoor sand arena, grass arena, tack room, wash stall and grooming stalls.

HORSE SENSE TRAINING AND PETTING ZOO

Sonya Steiner's sheer determination, a passion for horses and animals, and her belief in God is what has turned Horse Sense Training and Petting Zoo into a small piece of heaven.

We offer quiet and gentle lesson horses to build and enhance a rider's skills, and aim to help riders develop a more complete understanding of horsemanship. This goes beyond what they learn in the saddle, and helps them grow in all areas of life. Our riding lessons are fun and challenging, with the aim of keeping both rider and their mount's engaged and learning. Those interested in owning a horse but can't afford the costs of horse ownership may be interested in our lesson horse lease program. 

 At Horse Sense we believe in an all-inclusive approach to riding lessons… including catching and tacking up your own horse! We offer lessons for intermediates, adult and child beginners & up. Every summer we run day camps weekly in July/August. Camps and Clinics run at different times during the year, including Fearless Riding Clinics, and New Horse Ownership Clinics. 

We also offer a therapeutic riding program for children and adults with disabilities that are included but not limited to autism, cerebral palsy, orthopaedic conditions, hearing, speech, and visual impairments, and ADD/ADHD.

In addition to this, we also accept clients for board. We welcome all breeds, disciplines, and ages of horses. From the young to the retired, we're happy to offer you a place for your horse to call home. Board includes access to all of the facility's many amenities.

We are located in Northern Alberta, very close to the small town of Beaumont. We are approximately fifteen minutes from the South side of Edmonton.

Boarding at Gallifrey includes full access to the facility as well as access to quality instruction. You and your horse can enjoy being able to ride this Summer in a cool indoor arena and in a large outdoor arena. Board prices start at $275, making it very affordable for you and your horse.

At Gallifrey Equestrian we pride our selves in providing a warm, welcoming environment to all of our boarders. CADENCE STABLES

Tucked away in the beautiful foothills of Calgary Alberta, Cadence Stables has been training and boarding horses for over 20 years. Personalized care is provided at Cadence Stables for a limited number of horses either outdoors in sheltered paddocks or inside the heated barn. The paddocks, 30' x 150', are used to board a maximum of 2 horses. The paddocks have been designed to be as safe as possible for horses, with automatic watering, steel fencing and puckboard (plastic) shelters. The stalls are 10' x 12', with 20' x 12' stalls available for foaling out mares or for horses with special needs. Horses boarded inside are turned out daily in individual 30' x 75' steel paddocks. Pasture board is occasionally available. We are experienced in foaling out mares.

Cadence Stables has a 70' x 140' indoor heated arena, a 150' x 300' outdoor arena and a cross country jumping course. Our clients include beginning riders as well as experienced upper level dressage riders. Lessons in basic riding, jumping and dressage are available from a number of coaches. We have a limited number of horses available for lease or purchase.

HORIZON FARMS

Horizon Farms is a brand new, private training facility catered to the hunter/jumper rider and horse. Experienced and certified coaching is available from beginner to Grand Prix levels. A competitive program is offered with focus on flat-work, gymnastic exercises, fitness, and preparation for the show ring. We are located just South of Stony Plain on Hwy 627 and RR 12.

Our Indoor facilities are currently at capacity with a waiting list available,  however,

Horizon Farms currently has outdoor board spots available. Both private outdoor board (includes large private grass paddock with bedded shelter and heated waterer, premium quality grass hay fed 3x daily, grain fed once daily and full use of facility) and Group outdoor Board (includes premium quality grass hay fed 3x daily, group turnout in grass pasture, heated waterers, bedded shelter, full use of facility) is available.

Facilities include a brand new 70' x 150' heated indoor arena, 80' x 250' newly expanded outdoor arena, a variety of colorful and new jumps for schooling, lockers or a spot for a tack box, grooming stalls, brand new fencing throughout the property and around the clock care and observation of all horses on the property.

Due to capacity limitations all horses must be part of a program. Competition horses occasionally up for lease opportunities. Please inquire.

*We currently have 2 competition horses available for half lease. These leases includes 3 days per week and the option to show at some competitions for the 2011 season.*

Royal Farms has purchased a new facility for July 1, 2012 located in Sherwood Park. The new facility will remain private and focus on breeding, advanced training, and an environment where animals are number one. Horses may be available for advanced lessons, if not fully leased out. Top level dressage horses available for lease to the right candidate. Interested candidates may apply for a trial.

K&G EQUINE

K and G Equine started out with Kevin and Gary who had the desire of helping unwanted horses. Horses that, for some reason or another, aren’t needed anymore. They are brought to K and G Equine from privately owned facilities, individuals who can no longer care for them and some are rescued from the meat pen at surrounding auctions.

K & G Equine is a place where horses have a second chance to make a difference in people’s lives. What started out as a rescue has bloomed into an equine paradise.

Although Kevin and Gary are both still dedicated in making a difference and saving as many horses as possible, K and G has expanded and has a lot to offer to the equine enthusiast such as outdoor boarding and riding lessons!
