MYSTIC MEADOWS EQUINE CENTER

Semi Private Boarding Facility.

We are a full service facility, offering both indoor and outdoor board.
Indoor board starts at $550 + G.S.T for a 12 x 12 stall, and turnout, either group or private is $50/month extra.
Outdoor board is $350 + G.S.T in a group setting only (generally 4-10 horses, according to personality and needs)
No stallions. We have both a mare and a gelding group, and a Jenny Craig pen.
The horses are checked several times a day. Free access to water, heated in winter.

Haul ins are welcome by appointment only. Exclusive use of the arena for events must be pre-booked. Coaching is available, for both competitive dressage (various coaches) and Jumpers (Josefina Kaderabek). Endurance riders, eventers and recreational/beginner youth/adults have been the main focus of the barn but any discipline is welcome. Lease horses and lessons are available, beginner to competitive.

Our main focus is based on fun and good horsemanship: a group of learning riders eager to encourage and support one another along their journey. There are group hauls to shows for more competitive riders and local barn trail rides. Owners have been in the industry for over 30 years, leading a small quality Sport-horse Arab breeding program prior to the stable and raising, training and showing on the low-key end. In house/on-site pony club, various ages, boys and girls.

Horse training and horses for sale as well. Please contact for further details or check out mysticmeadowsequine.weebly.com OR crhorsemanship.weebly.com

  1. The woman who owns this barn is flipping psycho! i do not reccomend taking your horses to this place as they will not be taken care of and you will have to deal with a lunatic woman and drama on a daily basis. be warned! Many equestrians in the edmonton area feel the same way about this place thats why they have a hard time keeping and getting boarders.

  2. I have to completely disagree with the previous comment. My horse has been a there for just over a year now and I wouldn't want to have him anywhere else!
They have made sure both my horse and I have been made very comfortable, helped me out with him on serverial occasions in both training and horse care.
He always has access to not frozen water and his feeding requirements are watched ie. Free choice when its really cold and only let into hay at night when its not so he's not supper fat, he's also never been really skinny or skinny at all.
Also there's been a few times when they have brought him in for the night when it was nasty outside, at a very low cost. They never over charge.

  3. Laughing at anonymous over here as I can honestly say that chances are you are someone who was kicked out because you were stirring the pot and we keep our environment drama-free, so I'm sure whichever of the few you are, it was one of the warranted excused removals from the barn. Especially since you were not at the barn for long. Our horses are always fed, watered, fat and happy. Everyone who comes through comments on their healthy coats and how happy they are. So I think that says enough for me. My mother is actually not psycho either, but she does put her foot down and has low tolerance for BS in the barn. This is our home and it is meant to stay as comfortable as such. Our clients come first. The reality is you are not paying the overhead and any unnecessary drama or gossip in the barn, gets you the boot. Which is plenty fair in my honest opinion. This is our home. First and foremost.

On a side note, I would like to just contact admin, whomever you might be, on the inaccuracy of this ad!! Our hours of operation and board prices have long since changed. Indoor board is $550 + GST and Outdoor is $350 + GST.

We are a full service facility, offering both indoor and outdoor board.
Indoor board starts at $550+GST for a 12 x 12 stall, and turnout, either group or private is $50/month extra.

  4. Well, I was not kicked out but left as the rules seemed to constantly change. I get that there are costs associated with having a barn but there were literally LOCKS on the lights so you couldn't use them.

Never been at a barn that is so high strung about rules and especially lights. I'd get scolded for something nearly every single ride for the seemingly most random stuff. I am a good boarder, I always pick up the poop, always sweep, turn off lights, etc, but there was literally no pleasing these people. Some of the rules that seemed to change daily:

"Arena lights are only to be turned on 5 minutes at most prior to entry, and turned off immediately after exiting arena after asking first if anyone needs them). "

"Boarders are responsible for any and all damages incurred by their horses from horses leaning on fences, pushing through fences or picking at other horses over the fence. You will be billed for these and expected to pay for those damages within 10 days of billing."

    etc.

  5. There are 12 sets of 4800 watts total, fluorescent lights in the arena.. there are floor light switches in which each switch is 3 lights. They lock two switches. Why? So entitled people, as there have been several through there, dont flip all the switches on. Its not high strung... its unfortunate they even should even have to do it to prevent adults from turning them on.

As for the rule about breaking things.. every stable has that and if you have a horse who kicks the crap out of walls or leans on fences, of course you should pay for it. You break something of someone else's or in a store, you or your child, you must pay for it... common courtesy? I would think so. I'm not sure what you are complaining about honestly. Its a small stable, lights being turned off right away, is courtesy. Why should they pay for someone to leave them on while you stand and chit chat for two hours? Why is this a stable's responsibility? I don't think it is. I feel sorry for them having to deal with people like this.

  7. This barn still boards, but has been very selective and more focused on their Equine Therapy program as well as training and lessons.
