The Tiny tots riding lessons could have been great. The facility is perfect and the lesson horses solid. The instructors were very young and in over their heads especially regarding safety. If the horses were not so sensible we would have seen more wrecks than we did, Cannot recommend.
March 2012 Keno Hills Stables - Great horse care and amazing coaching. A lot of focus on Jumping if you want. Lessons under $35, outdoor board $300/mth, indoor board $550 I think. Indoor heated arena, outdoor arena, round pen, hot walker. Great trails and next to a huge riding park.

  1. i personally had a horrible experiance here boarding my horse. they are to big of a place and dont really care about the well being of the horses. they didnt listen to me regarding my horse and his personality making my horse stressed out. in the three weeks he has been their they have moved him 6 times and almost sedated him with out my permission. i tell everyone not to board there

  2. Too many horses, overbreeds. Great idea to rescue and utilize all those freebies that come with but how do you know it all goes to a rescue when you are also a for=profit business. And what kind of business talks kids into buying babies?? so they can pay board on them for years?

  3. I found the facility OK, and the care received by my horse seemed OK - though he became very skinny there. However, I found the manager to be extremely unethical when it came to billing - padding the bill outrageously, frequent duplicate billing for same item, or billing for unreceived items. Also, when visiting the facility, I found the manager to be very unreceptive if not obstructive to deal with. They certainly rake in the money hand over fist - perhaps that is the reason for all the "rescue" operations. I made the decision to move my horse relatively quickly, & was amazed at the charges that suddenly appeared on my horses' bill, requiring full payment before he could be "released" - even though he had always been paid up well in advance while there.

  4. I had a great experience at Keno Hills. The new staff is friendly and helpful as well as the teenagers who help out. The lesson program was awesome and I loved my horse! They take great care of their horses and have large fields for the horses to roam wherever they want. Everyone was very kind and always happy to help. I will definitely be coming back!

  5. I have had great Experience at Keno Hills. The staff are all very friendly, the horses are well taken care of and well trained. I have been riding here for many years and It is a very successful stable in the show ring and teaching students of all ages horsemanship skills on and off of the horse. Highly recommend this stable for all your horse needs!

  6. Been riding at Keno Hills for a while now, like the stable and the people out at it. I now board my own horse there and he loves the big pastures and shelters. He is a little on the chubby side, which I love as it is winter and I don't want him skinny to face the cold. Automatic waters, shelters and minerals in each field. Horses get rotated through different fields in the summer to give them access to fresh grazing. Clean, welcoming and over all a great barn. Would like to see more open nights for riding versus lessons, but understand that and make arrangements to ride at the available times. two thumbs up!

  7. Keno Hills comes off as a very well put together barn. Friendly manager, perfect horses .. ya no ! STAY AWAY!! As a previous employee I have seen far too much & still to this day cannot wrap my head around how money hungry susan fyfe is. She will put on a very deceiving show telling you about how much she cares about the horses & money doesn't matter, it's a load of crap. She has no interest in your horses well-being. She just wants your money. She WILL charge you extra for no reason, she will treat you like shit and She will threaten to pull the livery stable act on you for no reason. The horses there are 90% all hers. About 30 boarders there . Hmm I wonder why? Too many horses, not enough space .. she's rarely ever out at the barn. The horses are wonderful and it's sad they're just money signs to her.. many are old and get worked very hard. They get no chiro work done, no extra supplements to keep weight up . It's sad . The employees are paid minimum wage and made into her slaves .. she doesnt care about her employees wellbeing either. You could be in the hospital missing an arm and leg & she would still expect you to be in the next day. Too many lies; not much makes sense .. I think it's time for a new manager to step in and take action.

    1. Couldn't agree with you more! Treats her staff like crap. Makes all these big promises and never delivers. She is a control freak who takes advantage of parents who don't want to disappoint their children. Very good at milking money from people. Arena is small, unsafe and mouldy.

    2. I strongly disagree. Her horses receive the best treatment and she cares immensely about every single one. Just because she doesn't have time to put into every horse does not mean they are being neglected. She has fantastic instructors that make sure the horses are treated properly in their lessons by the kids and if any health issues arise she is notified immediately with treatment to follow. The arena is a nice size AND with new footing very safe. Employees are happy and a joy to be around. Not to sure why people decided to bash those after they have left for no reason as well. Think it is time to grow up. I have had nothing but positive and fun experiences with everything about this barn. It is a real family community and everyone there is beyond welcoming and a joy to be around.
