Prospect Downs Stables is a unique hunter / jumper program for dedicated and discerning riders who want to learn the technical and equitation skills to develop their horse to its full potential.

Services Offered

Sales

Prospect Downs Stables offers horses and ponies for sale for many skill levels. We pride ourselves on integrity and honesty in all of our sales. Viewings and additional video and pictures can be arranged.

Leases

We have a variety half and full in-barn horses and ponies available. Please visit our Leases page for more details.  We do not have school horses for lessons.

Coaching

Horses and riders are trained through classical principals, systematically and progressively, developing skills from a solid foundation.  Private and group lessons are offered evenings and weekends.  Lesson packages are available.

Training

Our professional training program is catered to the individual needs of each horse, focusing on overall fitness and development, behaviour, technical skills and performance.

Location

We are conveniently located within the Calgary city limits at Derochie Stables. Stall, paddock and field board are offered.  

Indoor board $824 - hay 4 x day, complete feed 2xday, automatic waterers, daily turnout
Paddock board $ 540: hay 3 x day, complete feed 1 x day, auto water, shelter
Field board $399: round bales. automatic waterers and shelters

Outdoor Sand Arena
2 Outdoor Grass Arenas
Tack rooms, wash-racks, lounge area, washrooms, viewing area, trailer parking.
