Our brand new facility offers 5 large stalls, private lockable tack lockers, a huge regularly maintained 100 x 200 outdoor arena, a grassy viewing area near the arena and barn which offers a picnic table, or choose to relax on the patio under our 10' overhang after your ride.

Horses boarded indoors will receive daily turn out in a large group field with the other inside horses (private turn out is available as well depending on availability). Blanketing, daily fly spray, and cubes/hay is all included in the indoor boarding price. Grain will be fed as per provided by the owner, however as a complimentary service we will do your grain shopping for you to save you the hassle of hauling it around.

Recovery board will also be available. Stall rest, hand walking, bandaging, administering medications etc. We are only a few minutes from West Wind and less than half an hour to several vets in the Sherwood Park area.

With over 20 years experience, several years of working under a skilled and busy trainer, years of dressage training, jumping as well as countless clinics and lessons, most recently I have been involved with barrel racing for the past 3 years, has all given me the tools I need to bring young horses along properly and to retrain horses for new careers. Colt starting is not available at this time.
Refreshers, miles, retraining, finishing is all available at $550/month includes board.

Training for the all round show horse, Western Pleasure, Showmanship, HUS, trail, patterns, also halter preparation and lunge line. Also specialize in colt starting, tune ups, basic western training, ranch, reining and start horses leaned towards the cattle events.Really strive for the broke, safe, all round horse that can not only do well in the arena but is safe and enjoyable to take down the trails. Look at every horse as an individual and base their training around this and their owners needs and goals.

Starting colts right and thorough, training them so they are soft in the face and well broke off your leg, good stop, turn around, also training them to use there shoulder's, hind end, neck, legs and body properly, for the discipline you strive with them. All this with sane and soundness!

As for your show horses, we start them in the right direction for showing and take in horses for training based on the APHC CCF futurity program, including halter, lunge line, western pleasure, HUS, trail and reining. Great place to have your seasoned show horse also, for tune ups and more training before next years show season! Both Breed and Open show horses welcome.

Offer lessons and also take horses in on a sales commission term, allowing your horse to be in either full or part time training while being listed for sale.

EQUINE MASSAGE, TRAINING, AND SALES

Mother/daughter team with over 45 years combined experience offering to train your horse using "gentle persuasion"- no force, no pain, no fear. Specializing in colt starting, finishing and re-training. We specialize in English, including jumping and training level dressage. Will start and train any horse Western if that is what the client wants. We do not train for barrel racing, roping, cutting or reining. We work with problem horses as well, including rearers, buckers, herd bound horses and misunderstood horses.

Either way, in the first month your horse will learn respect on and off the ground, to move off your leg, bend, and respond to your seat and hands. They can also learn basic movements such as leg yielding, side passing, turn on the forehand/haunches and to navigate trotting poles. They will stand patiently when tied, stand quietly while mounted, have their feet trimmed, and walk, trot and canter on a loose rein. If a second month is requested they will learn trailer loading, many miles of country riding (exposed to traffic, cattle and wildlife) and being out alone.
Clients always welcome to come and watch their horse being trained. We offer one riding lesson per 30 days to teach you what we have taught them. If you carry on the training once back home, you and your horse will continue to improve.
Board is on top of monthly training fee. We offer discounted rates for multiple horses from the same owner. Booking for summer training at our outdoor facility with limited spaces. It increases circulation, reduces pain, feels great and it will bring your horse to their full potential. It increases recovery times and helps build a stronger bond between the horse and handler. We have a Certified Equine Massage Therapist on our team that has learned to listen to the horse when they tell us exactly where they are hurting and use skilled hands to treat with massage, not just give a massage.
Will travel for massage sessions, with added cost for mileage.

Miranda Hassan is a Certified Western Ranch and Cow-horse rider.  When working with horses she has a simple, none stressful approach.  Working with horses should be enjoyable, so there is no reason to worry a horse and complicate things.  When training is done, your horse will come out soft, responsive, and willing.  Round-pen, arena work, as well as outside riding is done.  The riding outside in the open really benefits all horses, as they aren’t just confined to a pen!  They have cover terrain such as water, hills, pasture trails, busy roads, cattle, and the list goes on!

 

Fees: $150/week for feed, training, and board.  Grain and minerals is an extra $1/day, or you are welcome to supply your own.  A simple training contract is asked to be filled out and signed on the date of horse being dropped off. 

 

While horse is in training, the owner is welcome out any time to come and watch the process their horse makes.  Two lessons are included with each months training, if the owner desires.  Lessons cannot be carried over to following months.  If you would like extra lesson they are $25/hour.
