I have a few spots open in November and December for horses needing miles out in fields and down roads.

Horses are exposed to many situations and will have 3-5 days a week put on them depending on the horse, his age and fitness level. All horses will be sacked out and have basic manners reinforced.

All riding is done outside.

Young, large and inexperienced horses welcome.

I mainly have experience with larger Thoroughbreds and Warmbloods but all sizes and breeds are welcome.

Horses must be started.

I believe in a solid, thoroughly-built groundwork foundation, establishing a horse that is accustomed to an active environment while maintaining a light sensitivity where it's important. Soft, flexible head, neck, and body with strong hind end impulsion is encouraged and enforced throughout groundwork. I do not "cowboy break" or quick fix, so there is never any "bucking it out" or driving a horse to exhaustion. I teach very low contact on the hands for English, and no contact at all for Western. Body language is a huge part of my training. While firm and focusing on respect, I am not aggressive and have a lot of patience. I encourage owners to visit or sit in on sessions and even take on some hands-on learning experience so that when the horse goes home, the owner is able to continue progressing with their horse.

Offering horse training just 30 minutes north of Edmonton close to Red Water with an indoor arena 85x110, heated barn,outdoor arena 200x180, several round pens, paddocks and pasture. Each horse in training is in a private paddock with automatic water and great quality hay.

Ten years experience training horses and am a certified equine specialist with many references available upon request. Worked with horses from all walks of life and all different breeds.With horses being an energy based animal especially revolving around their nervous system in how they work/react, I work with horses in such a way to build a solid foundation starting on the ground. Each horse progresses and moves forward in different ways making having different techniques vital to carrying through the training needed.

We are offering:
Outdoor pasture board for $200/month (grass field)**NO barbwire!
Paddock board for $220/month.
Indoor board with turn out for $295/month.
*All include hay and mineral/salt blocks.

We have a beautiful 95x220 outdoor arena with river sand. Not too deep or too hard. There is a mechanical cow, barrels, and a few jump standards and poles to play with.

Lots of cut trails to venture out on. Even a grass strip almost a 1/4 mile long with no holes if you want to let the horses open up a bit.

We also offer:
- Lessons for various levels and activities. Lessons are $35/hour.
- Horse training is $500/month plus board. We prefer started horses but will take a few unbroke horses provided they've been handled. We can put miles on, tune up, and finish horses for many disciplines.
- Legging up for $300/month plus board. If you don't have the time or facility to condition your horse this is the perfect solution.
*Time frame on lessons, training and legging up will vary from October to April depending on weather as we don't have our indoor facility up yet.
**Stated prices do not include GST.

Taking horses for starting of April for barrel and rope horse training, also available to condition horses. Horses must have a minimum of 60 days.

WHISKEY HILL PERFORMANCE HORSES

Whiskey Hill Performance Horses is managed by Michaela Berlie and based out of her parent’s former Canadian Sport Horse breeding farm, Slipstream Farm.

The facility is located only minutes south of the town of Okotoks, Alberta and offers a bright indoor arena, a 14 stall barn with infloor heating as well as numerous outdoor paddocks. A large outdoor barrel patch offers a stunning 360 view from the southeastern flank of Whiskey Hill.

Western riding lessons will be running September through to December 19th 2014.

Whiskey Hill Performance Horses is able to deal with a wide range of horse training needs. Colt starting, conditioning/fitness, miles on green horses or just a tune-ups. More advanced training in both English and specific Western disciplines is also available. Please contact me to further discuss you and your horse’s training needs.

There is currently no horse board available at this time

REBECCA MUNOZ HORSE TRAINING

KIM KROENING TRAINING

Training / Conditioning / Miles

Currently have openings for three horses in full work.

Providing training services in Hunter/Jumper and first level dressage, refreshers for out of work horses, or horses needing work to increase their marketability.

I can school ponies as small as 11hh, great for spoiled kid's ponies that most adults can not ride.

I am quiet, tactful, focused, and workman like. Horses are taken at their own pace with little to no auxiliary tack used (draw reins, ect...). Past projects I have had include everything from kid-proofing miniature ponies, to explosive OTTBs, to saddle breaking Clydesdales.

Located 25km north of Drayton Valley (approx 20min). Facilities include a heated barn and indoor arena, with plans for an outdoor arena to be built in the summer. I also have access to fields and trails.

There will be opportunities for show experience over the summer months in H/J shows, fees paid by owner.

Teeth and feet must be maintained. No stallions. Must be 2Yrs+. Horses must hard tie, be well halter broke, and pick up all feet. Can supply tack and equipment.

Outdoor pasture board- $250/month.
Inquire for more boarding options.

Training- $450/month, includes 5 rides/week, or $25 a ride, min of 3 rides/week, min of 2 weeks.

CR HORSEMANSHIP

Starters, problem solving, ponies, miles, refreshers. Conditioning.

Willing to do trades in exchange for board for GOOD QUALITY hay.

$767.50/firm for full time, 5 day per week program.

Full use of indoor, so no worries of weather unless -25.

Under saddle work offering starting over fences, low level dressage/basic lateral (leg yields, shoulder in/shoulder out, etc), transitions,lightness, rhythm, straightness. Lots of work on a long rein, starting on properly engaging from the hind end. Young horses will be taken slowly and each at the pace they are able and willing to handle, while maintaining and finding happy ground for them to enjoy their jobs.

Ground work including round pen work, long-lining/driving, liberty work (dependent on personality, but we try to bring out the playful in every horse), despooking, rope work, movement of feet (pressure/release), etc.
All horses get lots of outside exposure. Quiet, private environment but plenty of exposure being worked and ridden with all other distractions, of cats/dogs/other riders.

Rescues welcome. Owners free to drop in on sessions/preview other current training horses prior to booking. Soft hand, gentle, balanced rider.

All breeds welcome.

Currently working to become a certified low level coach with EC this year, shown successfully lower level dressage, jumpers and western pleasure. Approved to coach beginners through Pony Club with current levels.

F.I.T.T. EQUINE

We are an Alberta full service horse training, conditioning and rehabilitation facility committed to going above and beyond to insure each individual horse is cared for to the highest standards. With over 80 years of combined equine experience you can be assured that your horse will be cared for in the most professional and dedicated manner.

We operate the only Equine Treadmill Pool of its kind in Canada. With a longer stride and a greater water depth than any other Treadmill Pool available. This allows us to work horses at both the walk and at a full trot in water that is deep enough to not only provide resistance training but also alleviate 40-60% of the weight and strain from the limbs. When your horse is in the treadmill pool he is closely monitored to insure he is working in a straight, round manner and we watch carefully to make sure he is working at a comfortable natural gate.

We will work with your veterinarian and farriers or, if required, we can arrange for this professional care as needed. We tailor our programs to meet the needs of each horse, working with leading veterinarians, farriers, and massage therapists to insure the best results for you and your animal. We offer different conditioning programs from daily work outs for horses preparing to race, to a couple of work outs a week to maintain overall fitness.
